I think with white and black Iron Ore would be better. Urbane Bronze is bronze which imo leans brown...I love it and have it in my house. We are building a barn and are planning to do the exterior Urbane Bronze. [Our house is Shoji White with Bronze Windows so we are going opposite for the barn].

Or keep the soffit shoji white and skip the urban bronze altogether?

No stone veneer. Not sure what you mean by board and baton. Lots of stuff going by that name these days, but already I am inclined to say no. Your house is really very attractive. You might want a different color but I wouldn't mess with the basic look. I do think you need something to grab onto for those step-downs. A simple straight line rail under your house numbers would do it. Possibly a short one tighlty against the steps to the right of the platform. Trim out your lower tree branches completely unless you absolutely want those for privacy.

I would say you have a brownstone -- and a remarkably clean one! I agree with Hallett that it's best to just accept the white windows and paint the trim the same. They will just look like storm windows and everyone accepts historic houses need them. For the rest of the trim, including the porch columns I would go with traditional dark colors that mimic mahagony, iron and bronze. I might paint the small dormer the same dark color as the columns, and for the shingles I'd be very tempted to plum or a deep eggplant or burgundy/claret. This is Farrow & Ball's Brinjal Glass doors, or clear glass storm doors over dark wood doors would make your doors reflective and help them get noticed. But I think painting them a light color or any color would be a mistake. Without going clown crazy, I think you can play up the architectural lines of the roof and porch roof and soffits with different dark and gray paints that would be fitting to the fact that the was always intended to be an impressive house.
