Light neutral paint colors to use with BM Simply White?

I painted over our dark, taupey hallway with BM Simply White 2143-70 (also OC-117) and it looks MUCH MUCH better. I used eggshell on the walls and gloss on the trim. Now I need to decide what color to use in the 2 bedrooms that are off the hall. I want to stay with light neutrals. I thought about Silken Pine or Old Prairie but am afraid the green undertones might be too strong. Any suggestions?

The blues are very pretty for a bedroom. If you want a more neutral color, look at BM Ballet White. It contrasts well with Simply White, but remains light and airy. However, most decorators suggest picking paint colors last based on the furnishing/art/textiles that are used in the room.

Continue with Simply White as you have been doing for the trim/same finish.

Try B.M. Silver Cloud for one bedroom.

Add a darker tone for the other bedroom.. This color is Mt St.Anne.

Thanks Judy! I’ll take a closer look at those paint colors. On screen they look like very pretty blues. I appreciate that you took the time to respond.

Ok! Update on the lights. I decided to scrap the LED kits all together. I couldn’t find a happy medium on the color coming off of them. I ended up buying these at menards (picture below) they were 6$ for the 6 pack vs 70$ for 4 of the LED kits. These are natural color and do not seem to influence the color of the paint as much. We are obviously mid project here, but here are the walls (BM Simply White)

Thanks all! Glad to know I can stick w/all Simply White - I had a million other whites and griege colors but the SW almost glowed. We've expanded all the windows so I want to maximize the light-and-bright feel. At the same time I love color so it's a little hard for me to walk away from a chance to have a big bold paint color in every room. We'll have a lot of old Persian carpets plus some changing out furniture and linens so maybe that's where I'll go a little wilder. @Judy Graham, the window pictured is staying and is sized for egress. Originally there was a second window on the wall opposite the map that was removed when we added a new master suite. The plan called for a skylight but due to the truss structure it will have to be only 14" wide, smaller than originally anticipated. Overall the room feels a lot more compact than it did before (despite the fact that we were able to raise part of the ceiling in removing a dormer.) So I'm thinking hard about the paint here for keeping things bright.

I tried the revere pewter , not sure if it seams too beige. I also just put a little silver satin. Which do you think goes best? I told my husband to try the revere pewter and he ended up giving the whole room one coat. Instead of just a sample. Lol

Hi Barbara, I know to pick paint last....but I REALLY hate what's on the walls now... and painting is easy... I accept that I will probably need to repaint later. I looked at BM Ballet White but it seemed rather grayed out. Perhaps Ill give it a try. I appreciate your suggestion!

Try searching for Ballet White rooms on Houzz to see painted rooms. I don’t see gray in it. It is a warm white like Simply White, but a touch more creamy without being too creamy . In my opinion, it has a little more life to it than some creams. You might want to get some paint samples and paint up a a few large poster boards. It is hard to pick colors from the tiny paint chips.
