In my last kitchen I had one of those tiger oak round tables. I looked high and low for a booth with a curve (like a c instead of an L) because I wanted to use a round table. I actually had one shipped from an ebay seller in Montana and then reupholstered near my Michigan home because it still cost less than having a custom made one. An L banquette won't really work with around round table. Try to find a rectangular or square one. Often you see trestle type legs in this kind of arrangement, which is one leg but it goes all down the middle of the table the long way. Here is a link that might be useful: bing dining nook search

Hi Newbie! I've wondered what happened to you! Haven't seen you over in Kitchens for a long time! First, congrats on expecting a baby! Exciting! You're on the right path trying to tie up all these loose ends before May. Have you thought about posting over in Kitchens also? So many there have heavily researched lights that someone may have seen the perfect fixture for you. Plus, I know everyone would like to see your progress. :) When I saw that first WE fixture, I thought of a Barbara Cosgrove pendant I like. It echoes the shape. I'll link it below. You might look around for other lights on that site, too. Some of them get into the $$$ range though. I don't care for the mod WE glass cluster you just posted. How far apart would the peninsula and banquette fixtures be? I'm thinking that you might want to scrap the peninsula pendant... My orchid has been converted! Ever since Pal mentioned about not leaving the centerpiece in the center all the time, I put the orchid on a trivet and every morning I move it to a different spot on the table. So it's now either a Wandering Jew or a Roamin' Catholic! :)

You need at least 36” of space behind the table ends if anyone is to ever access the window seats. Crawling in and out from under the table is for 3 year olds. And that is why a U banquette is awful.
