Comments (33)That's funny nicholsworth! I think we're all happy to be able to see plants and gardens this time of year no matter what name is being used. I know I'm tired of looking at snow covering everything. I've tried to learn the latin names of all my plants, sometimes I know those better than the common names, but now with the DNA testing of plants, they're changing a lot of them! So I have the old latin names in my head and don't know if I have room left in there to learn the new ones, lol. Plus, the nurseries don't seem in a hurry to embrace the new names on the name tags, which is how I learned so many of the previous names. It's confusing. I like when people here put the old name/new name so I can let it sink in gradually. Is there one place that lists all the new names? I just read an article on renaming Coleus that made my head spin!...See MoreMy Hosta Garden in June 2020

Comments (29)beth, our garden helpers look a lot alike. steve, I've seen that in my own gardens, when I take pics only seconds apart, the light can make colors look so different. Loving all the dogs and cats here! Sherry sending my prayers to Zoe. tsugajunkie, for Fannie, too. Last year I was looking for a forever home for this black cat, then he showed up hurt one day. So after fixing him up at the vet, getting all his shots, getting him neutered (no more vicious fights) and microchipped, he is now Max, my indoor/outdoor garden buddy. I wondered why I would sometimes find my hostas or daylilies smashed down and then one day I found out..... He's having fun with his grab ahold and kick game so I don't mind........See MoreHosta U 2020 ....................
Comments (16)I got Ulysses S. Grant about 5 years ago. It's finally settled in and had quite a bit of growth. I really like those seedlings Hosta Maker, especially the yellow and purple. As far as the kite routine. We had a Neopolitan Mastiff that weighted about 126 pounds who could have easily propelled us through the air. We got a leash that attached to a harness that prevented some human damage because she had less leverage--she was always amazed that she could yank us off our feet and would stand over her family member on the ground with a thoroughly puzzled look on her face, like why are you on the ground shouldn't you be walking next to me? She could easily pull my son off his feet and he's 6'8" and lifts weights....See Morembug_gw
