So the list could last forever . I need to know your budget, what your style is for sure. You need an independant kitchen designer . We can all give you our opinions but you need to provide more info first. Looked at your idea books seems you like modern/ contemporary so the big question is the budget. If your budget is small I would check out Ikea I have used Ikea in my design biz for 20+ yrs and still think the best bang for your buck with a great warranty.

Start witht the basics..... do you know the difference between framed and frameless cabinetry? Most American styles are framed. Some companies make a cheap frameless style, but Ikea makes the best.

I would not classify IKEA as the “best” on any other level than price...

I would explore all local cabinet suppliers...most of them will supply free design help if you purchase their product...your questions are better addressed in that setting...

When shopping for cabinets, here's some beginner pointers:

Know what you are buying by getting a full, detailed description of what materials they are made of structurally (the box construction) & the door materials & slide mechanisms before you buy. You can even buy a door sample & cut it in half to really know what's inside.

Avoid cabinet lines that the structural box parts are made out of MDF, or particle board. Thick plywood box construction with solid wood drawers & doors is suggested.High density MDF is ok for door fronts or center door parts,too.

Metal soft close glides & hinges.

Avoid foil. It peels & can not be re-painted. Hard to fix.

Painted or stained wood can be repainted in the future.

There are different types of cabinet door overlays to learn as well.

style is modern, frameless cabinets. Our new kitchen is medium to large and I am looking at middle to mid-luxury makers. I love Eggersmann cabinet look and innovation but, would

not want to pay for their overhead/marketing/showrooms.

considering Lube Cuccine because they seem better than Pedini in terms of price and have less overhead. + I didn't see much in Pedini that left me awed. I am including our future kitchen design /drawings above.

looking to understand the difference between european and American modern frameless cabinets...and what is considered quality materials in each (other than wood of course).
