Keep the gold faucet on the sink - It looks great with the blue vanity and pulls. Black is fine for the shower. However, I'd select a widespread faucet (like what is on the vanity you pictured) and not the mini spread Flynn that is in the box. IMO, mini spreads look cheap and are a pain to clean.

agree with Design. no mini spread. the gold one on the vanity is nice. keep that one.

having black in the shower is also fine.

(BTW, look at the hole spread on the vanity top. I assume you're getting that one? if you notice, it's a wide spread. the 4" Delta one won't work)

If it comes in a one hole, get that one and do a single hole faucet. with boys, that's easier to clean.

if you're getting your own top, then see about doing a wall mount or even a one hole faucet..

I think a black faucet would look good with the gold pulls. You could use gold in your light fixtures, robe hooks, etc. (the dry fixtures) and black could be used for your “wet” fixtures (faucets, tub spout and controls, etc.)

IMO black faucets with boys will be gross in no time water marks are always an issue with black faucets and in a shower more so. I also would not want my guests sharing a bathroom with teen boys. I would do the gold there is nothing feminine about gold and guys wear gold all the time .I would have done one larger pull on the drawers for sure .BTW I dislike subway tile in showers , way too many grout lines and again with boys the fewer the better . What do you have on the floors / I like 12 x24 porcelain tile on bathroom floors and shower walls . I also would mention teaching the boys how to squeegee the walls and door after each shower that cuts your cleaning time in 1/2

white subway tile is for shower wall, mini hexagon for shower floor and niche and , gray wood tile in Herringbone shape for the floor of the bathroom

I have those same size tiles in my shower.

your other tiles should be fine.

use a medium gray grout w/the floor tiles. no whites!

(you can go up to 4" for the shower floor. less grout lines. )

although, kind of questioning the navy blue vanity w/these tiles.

I think a charcoal, a natural wood, gray, white, even a black would look better.

If you change your hex tiles to something larger, in a blue, then the blue vanity would work.

I have the same dilemma and i was wondering the same thing. I have your vanity but in black with the gold hardware. I was planning on having gold faucet and black shower system. My builder put in Moen valve in the shower so I need to stay with that and they don’t make gold shower with hand held system. I’m thinking the black should coordinate.

I have three teenage boys and I can tell you now that they could not care less what color the fixtures are or whether it looks masculine. And squeegee?! LOL I'm lucky if they remember to tuck in the shower curtain while they are showering. When I have guests, I go in there twice a day to wipe down the floor around the toilet. That's the best that it gets at my house.
