Don’t use a bag at all but if you must yours is better.

I see - interesting - i'd actually been wondering about that, because online advices on this topic are varied. Some say non-fridge, others say fridge. Some say net bags, others say perforated plastic.

Are your produce bags perforated?

I’ve never had citrus rinds go dry in the fridge, with the possible exception of limes. They seem to go bad relatively quickly anyway so I don’t tend to buy more of those than I plan on using that week. Outside of the fridge, rinds dry up.

This type of produce/fruit storage discussion is so important. Food is expensive. Proper storage is important. What we have found in past discussions is the quality/temp/humidity of your fridge/storage. Some bag storage will work for some and not others. Love/hate with my kitchen fridge. Excellent dual compressor. Best I've ever had for fruit/produce. Lasts weeks longer than any fridge I've had in the past. (needs trouble shooting tricks monthly).

We were delivered a big bag of oranges two months ago. Did not order. A mistake. Un-covered in a bottom crisper drawer. Still firm/fresh (I should juice them)...gifted a big box of citrus that was delivered last night. Box outside in 40º temps deciding how to deal with it at this moment. We don't care for oranges but love grapefruit. I have some time to decide. Probably juice, with ginger shots with turmeric, lime, lemon, beets, some greens like kale, celery.

I've had limes turn leathery but it takes a few weeks. Lemons do well for longer in the crisper drawer, un-bagged. Avocados do best, once firm ripe, on an upper fridge shelf, not the crisper. Carrots three months easy in a solid bag with an open top bag, crisper drawer. Others have success with the fine mess bags meant for veg. Disaster for me. I get the five pound bags of organic carrots from Costco. Sacrifice one on the fridge shelf un-covered and one in the crisper uncovered and they are a limpness mess in 24 hours. A dozen in the original bag are still firm 3 months now.

The conclusion is that what works for some will not work for you. The worst is a fridge that tends to freeze in the back area. (I have the worst fridge on the planet at our beach home). It is a remote location so fruit/veg is precious. Ugg.

Constant freeze/thaw is the worst for produce.

Like the video you posted, climacteric and non-climacteric is good to know.
