I read something new to me in a list of things to aid in getting a good night's rest. It's to keep a diary, in which you write down your worries before getting into bed. The idea is to get them *off* your mind so it can rest.

Thank you evryone for your kind thoughts and prayers. I spoke with one of the nurses in the COVID unit and she said he was doing some better this morning, so that is encouraging. He did eat his breakfast.

Chisue, I would not dare give him a diary to write in.....he uses one (a journal) to plan what his subcontrators need to get done the next day! He is a hard driving Consruction Manager/Project Superintendent. I would have already quit!!

Annie Deighnough, we've used Ivermectin since in the 80's for parasite control in livestock. I don't feel comfortable using it for human medication.

Praying your husband will get well soon, so he can come home. Ivermectin is a human medication, too, but I believe the doctor in the video above said it has to be used before a patient gets very sick. Having been around horses for many years, I'm well aware of it's use in animals.

Doing everything we should do to not let it happen, but as you know, it sometimes still happens. Stay well. Hope this will soon be in the past for you both....and all of us!

Thinking of you and your husband. One of my friends is in the hospital with Covid pneumonia, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the patients in the hospital and their worried families who cannot visit. I hope your husband recovers quickly, gmatx.

I can't imagine how scary and difficult this is for you. Have you recovered? Sending positive thoughts for you and your dh.

I get that you wouldn't want to self administer ivermectin, and I wasn't suggesting that, but rather talk to the doctors about it. It has been around for 40 years and is used in humans for treatment of parasites. In fact, that's apparently what put the doctors onto it in the first place. There was a nursing home that had a problem with scabies so some of the residents were on ivermectin and others were not. The ones on it did not get covid. There have been other studies since then with positive results.

I'm not trying to add more stress to an already impossible situation, only a suggestion that might be beneficial.

In any case, I'm keeping you both in my thoughts during this difficult time.
