Accent wall color suggestions
Hi, I just got a 75" TV for our living room and can't wait to mount it on the wall. My plan is to make it an accent wall and mount on it. Attached is the pic of the living room (the long wall Not shown is where I plan to put the TV) - the wall marked red in the layout pic. My living room is currently painted Rotunda white ( https://kellymoore.com/mycolorstudio-color-palette/?p=D7D1C6 )
I'm looking for suggestions on the paint color for the accent/TV wall that goes with what I have - Something that's neat and modern. Also would you recommend patterns or solid paint color?
Appreciate your inputs and advice

ultimately, it's just paint. if you want to paint the wall black or blue or whatever, just do it. but wait until you get all your furniture, rugs, tv positioned, etc.
for that particular wall, I would not do a wallpaper.
if you want to try something like a trim accent wall, then do that. it's your house, do whatever makes you happy.

Comments (2)I'm a fan of Porter's "Beige Telin" in flat, (or flat enamel which has less sheen but is washable). I've also used Porter Cashmere and Palomino colors too (they are beige/brown tones). I think if you Google search that you can see pics of it. Comments (0)First time poster here! I've been learning and grabing all sorts of suggestions from all of you on this website since buying my first home! I'm now trying to make this home my own and give it some color. I went out on a bit of a limb and chose a brown for an accent wall (BM Fresh Brew, a rich brown with a definate red undertone). Now...to choose the right paint for the other walls. Eek! I had thought I wanted a yellowy-beige, but now I'm wondering if that's the way to go? My palette is definately more on the warm side. My front room is a great rusty orange (SW Armagnac) and the rug in there has lots of tan, yellow, green, red (Pottery Barn "Adeline" rug http://www.potterybarn.com/products/adeline-rug-multi/?pkey=crugs-blue-green) I've been looking at SW Ivoire, SW Row House Tan, Pratt & Lambert Indian Ivory, SW Croissant, BM Pittsfield Buff...there are so many colors out there it's exhilarating, yet overwhelming. Comments (0)Hello, my home interior walls are SW Silver Strand with white trim. Living Room/Dining Room areas needs helping hands to make them attractive. Leather beige/cream furniture, burgandy wall hangings, black wrought iron and no curtains at the 4 long 120 inch living room windows. Dining room has sliding glass doors that lead onto lanai with burgandy window coverings. All floors will be covered with luxury vinyl planks in the colors you suggest to coordinate with the silver strand walls. Can you help me make these rooms pretty and attractive and at the same time say, welcome? Help me find the right curtains for the windows, the best floor colors for the floors and would love to have an accent wall color. All suggestions appreciated.....and, you cannot hurt my feelings. Comments (5)We used the Sherwin Williams ColorSnap app to find some teal options and then bought a sample of the one we liked most. The color is SW 2810 Rookwood Sash Green. This picture is at night with artificial light and we think it’s okay but are leaning towards maybe something a little darker and perhaps a little less green. Two other dark colors we got in the app are SW 6237 Dark Night and SW 7623 Cascades. What do you think about those three?...See MoreHU-406501969

@graywings123 : That was our thinking as well - add a dark accent wall to "hide" the TV! What color would you suggest? When I looked at the complementary and adjacent colors to what we already have on the wall (Rotunda white) , It gave us the options below (attached pic). Would "Camping Trip" work better or "Kettleman" or any other suggestions?

3 years agoYou should arrange your furniture first, and then decide on the accent wall color that goes with your furniture and other room decors! It must not look odd!
