"Christmas Reflections-Guitar" - instrumental Christmas carols, by guitarist Jay Steele. Soothing and peaceful. Also "Christmas Reflections-Brass".

The Charlie Brown Christmas is good too, who doesn't know that theme.

"Mary, Did You Know?" by anybody and everybody. And every Christmas album I've ever heard. Old, new, doesn't matter. I LOVE Christmas music!

Our favorite Christmas album is an oldie by the Supremes. Makes me happy that it's our son's favorite, too. He searched and searched for a couple of years to find it on vinyl. He says it brings back such good Christmas memories for him.

I never get tired of the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas album. I enjoy all the songs on it. It has such a nostalgic wintry feel.

Another that's always on rotation is Phil Spector's A Christmas Gift.

Besides those 2 the others are playlists of a variety of artists. I tend to go for mid century secular stuff like Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby and other pop.

Elvis Christmas Album, think I appreciate the quality of his voice more today . Back in the day, 1950’s, it was his looks speaking to me. Another one that was gone too soon. Also listen to his gospel music everyday.

I took Michael Bublé‘s album to my mom. We listen to it while I help her with her lunch. I really love his voice, and the album is kind of old-school. With the same fun twists that the old albums had.

And finally, for the moments after all the Christmas Eve company leaves, the dishes are washed, the boys were tucked in bed with stockings at the foot, Santa has snuck in and out, and it’s just me and a glass of red wine and the tree, “Silently the Snow Falls”, songs arranged for guitar, flute, pipes, cello, and dulcimer. My favorite is one that came out 21 years or so ago. The title is Precious Child: The Story of Christmas Retold in Words by Thom Schuyler. Music by Craig Bickhardt. I read a review of it in the newspaper the year it came out. It got rave reviews. I love it more every Christmas season when I play it.

I love the pianist George Winston's "Winter" with several Christmas oriented songs......just beautiful piano music (no vocals). "December" is a favorite, too.

Oh boy, It's so hard to pick! My parents always played music on our Hi-Fi, and at Christmas, we listened to Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Mel Torme, Steve Lawrence, Robert Goulet...and a few years later, The Carpenters.

I loved the sound of all their voices, but if I had to pick a favourite, it might be Andy Williams, as our family loved watching his Christmas specials each year. Nowadays, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr. have voices that remind me of my favourite childhood crooners.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is a favorite. Last week I woke up in the morning and while walking down the stairs to make coffee I had "Bah - dum bah - dum bah - dum bah - dum!! I don't want a lot for Christmas, I won't even ask for snow!" ringing in my head which would make anything sung by Mariah Carey my least fave.

Amicus, you named all the classics I recall. And yes, my brothers and I wore out the Andy Williams albums. I took my Michael Bublé to my mom, we listen to it when I have lunch with her. It has no jarring shifts and is easy to sing along to, so she seems to like it.

At our little local tree lot the other day, the owner was playing a John Denver Christmas Album. Must have been a later one because his voice sounded so mellow. I really liked it, and now I have to look for it.

O Holy Night by John Berry.

This is also the title of the album, but his rendition of the song gives me goosebumps every time.

We have all the Mannheim Steamroller albums and play them every year.
