You can do it just about anywhere, but diving into a good book feels so relaxing and maybe even more satisfying in a sanctuary dedicated to reading — even if it’s just in a corner — than on your bed or living room sofa. Plus, a book nook can turn an awkward and unused space into a destination. The key is a comfy seat, good light and quality accessories.
Calling all Houzzers: Show us where you like to curl up with a good read. Homeowners, show us a picture of your book nook. Designers, upload a picture of a nook you’ve recently designed.

The nook. Where have you set up your reading nook? Do you sink in an overstuffed armchair in a cozy room dedicated to books, or perhaps you recline on a sunny window seat in the corner of your living room?
Kate Watson-Smyth, shown here, reads among her collection of about 2,000 books in a dedicated reading room in her London home. From her plush armchair, she rests her feet on a stack of Moroccan leather poufs and sets a drink on the nearby side table.

The accessories. To read a book, you really need just a book and a place to sit (or stand, I guess), but that’s not what makes for a space you’ll want to spend hours in. How about the pillows, blankets and lighting, to name a few extras?
