My thought for the holidays

I'm thinking in particular of people here who have lost loved ones during this year. We have a few here. These holidays are difficult enough, but living through them as the first holiday without a loved one is even tougher. I remember at least 2-3 here, I think, who lost family this year, and there are probably more. I wish anyone who suffered a loss this year or anytime peace and comfort during the holidays. May the good times and happy memories sustain each of you.

lost both my DH and my Dad during Christmas seasons..and it seems to make it extra hard for several years. This year is painful enough for people, without

this kind of loss for them. Hugs and condolences for them.

My daughter-in-law passed away just a couple of weeks ago and it will be a difficult Christmas without her. The family will have to be without DH and me this year also with Covid keeping us apart.

Jane, I couldn't be happier that you truly appreciate what I sent you. When I ask and you answered without hesitation, I knew I made the right decision, by asking. The little ornament seemed the perfect finish for this gift. I do believe in following my heart and they look at home on your shelf. All snuggled in amongst your beautiful dishes. I will never regret sending them to you. You are a sweetheart yourself. Kathleen, I'm truly sorry I didn't know or remember you had the same dishes but it doesn't mean I won't find something for you too. If I didn't work and had more time here, I would be sending all of you something, I'm sure. I wanted to send all of you an ornament last Christmas but had to go to Vegas so didn't have time. I don't feel bad about my choice but it would of been fun to treat all of you. Jeanne, thanks for the sweet comments. Glad you like the ornament too. OA, glad you think they go well with Jane's dishes. I grew up with the nickname Punky and it never left me. DH just ask if he could shorten it to Punk when we got married, so we did. The last name is Kerr so I'm Punk Kerr. It's been a fun name through the years. Been called Punky Brewster by several. Thanks for asking. Some have a hard time saying Punk but with being 54 and not going by my given name of Dora except with the IRS, it's just me. Luvs, you know me pretty well, don't you? I love to give more than anything. Doesn't mean I don't like to receive but giving when you know it's appreciated just warms the heart. And it is so cold here we need something to warm us.haha Thanks everyone for understanding that I don't just give my DM's things away unless I feel they are better off with others. Punk

Yes, I remember Stacey. We must take heart and have hope that we will all be able to embrace our loved ones another day. I've suffered a loss this year too which made me think of others here, like you.

Thank you Socks.

I lost my dad this year to congestive heart failure. Six weeks later, I lost my best friend of 37 years to a heart attack. He was 55.

My sister died suddenly on Thanksgiving of 1990 from deep vein thrombosis and every Thanksgiving since has been a difficult and sad time for my family.
