I agree that the blending in of the sink doesn't seem like a problem. We have a creme bordeaux granite with a Blanco single bowl antrhacite siligranite sink. The granite has a fair amount of black in it. When it was first installed with the sink it took me awhile to realize there was a sink there. At first glance from across the room it just looked like a black hole. I have grown to really like this sink. Like the black hole look and love how it stays clean looking with little or no scrubbing. Sit back relax and enjoy the new counters and your sink. As far as changing it out. Funny you ask because I looked at the sink just in case someday it had a problem and I had to replace it. With an undermount on a granite countertop they do use silicone to mount and seal it. That is not really a huge problem since it can be cut and cleaned off. Now beyond that really depends on the rest of the installation. Some installers sandwich the sink between the plywood underlayment and the granite. In this case to remove although not impossible it is more difficult. Other installers use some method of screwing mounting brackets around the underneath rim. These are not as difficult to remove. The short answer would have been yes they can be removed and replaced. And yes it may take a little work. Sit back relax and enjoy your new countertops and sink.

Thanks everyone! I'm still waiting to hear back regarding my request today for a sample that shows his "enhancing" technique. Oldryder - could you tell me what you use to enhance stones such as ours? Is it common to apply an enhancer and then buff it off? Is it perhaps the same as wiping away the excess? Assuming that's all it is - it should be fine - and then I just need to make sure any sealer he uses isn't a gloss finish. I'm still going to insist on a sample but I wanted to make sure his wasn't some unorthodox method that wasn't an industry norm. And Mags438, the stone (when enhanced) is jet black and the streaks/veins are cream, brown and rust. You can see in this photo (the area where we've wiped it down with a wet paper towel) what it will look like after it's been enhanced. I liked this granite the first time I saw it (polished) but I LOVED it when I saw the leathered version.

Thanks for the suggestions. It never occured to me to look for a different one hole faucet I like; but that sounds like the most straightforward way to accomplish my goal. No drilling involved. BTW - if anyone is still reading this post.... I did just finish a mid-range kitchen remodel last year .... ALL WITH INSPIRATION AND DIRECTION FROM THIS KITCHEN BOARD, AND THE "FINISHED KITCHEN" SITE. It would NEVER have turned out as beautifully as it did without all your help!! Even tho I didn't actually "post" during my remodel, I did read and read, and looked at everything here! Now I'm moving.... but the new house has a beautiful remodeled kitchen, too -- just not "mine". (African Mahogany Cabinets -- whatever kind of wood that is! Ha!) I give it 3 years...... (chuckle).... If your front to back measurement for your sink run cabinets is less than standard, you might be able to make a non-IKEA farmhouse sink work. Is that what you mean about the size of the sink? My sink run cabinets are right around 22 inches, but my house was built in 1926. Most are 24 with an inch or so countertop overhang in the front. Farmhouse sinks are often meant to stick out a bit from the cabinets so the IKEA sinks measure more than 24 inches front to back.
