Backsplash for white ice granite and white shaker cabinets?
Picked out a gorgeous slab of white ice granite to go with white shaker cabinets in kitchen. Gray wood grain porcelain floors going in. Small kitchen with island.
After seeing pictures online, can’t seem to find backsplash that isn’t too busy. Would a white or cream tile work? Would a stark gray be a good contrast or too much? Thanks for any advice. Design-challenged.

Comments (4)This is trickier than you think. If you choose and "off white" for the cabinet paint and keep your totally white appliances, the cabinet paint will look like whatever undertone is in the white, most likely yellow. They'll look like they need to be painted even though you've just painted them. I would recommend painting them an actual color in your granite. These are all Ralph Lauren paints, but you can find similar colors at SW if you like their paint. The top image is your Kilim Beige, bottom is your granite. Consider other beiges (like Edwardian Linen), greys (like Cove Point) , taupes (like Antique Bone), and browns (like Desert Caftan). LOL I have the white Alaska granite countertops as well. It has been well over a year and I still can't decide! And although I do love them, it's such a hard decision to match them with a BS! however, please wait until the granite is installed before deciding on a backsplash. there is no rush. nothing can be installed until it's in.
grab some samples and wait.
