I haven't tried all blue. I used a saltwater aquarium light last year that had a blue light in it. The plants did ok. Didn't get as big as I had hoped. This year I'm going with actual grow lights. I found some on sale and decided to try them. They are called OTT-Lite Natural Light Supplement. I bought the 17w screw in bulbs but they do sell the long bulbs for light panels. They are energy efficient and suppose to last up to 10,000 hours. They are a bit expensive. Had I not got them at half off I don't think I would have bought them. I really like them as they don't produce the heat of normal plant lights. Andrea

one at a time, steve, I'd like to see you try 16 flats of flowers doing it with your junkyard method. You would need 60 of them and they still wouldn't produce as good. I find it comical that you would even suggest that. Pip, i'm not listening to the hype, don't grow pot so I have a clear head on this, what I have found FROM REAL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM is that the lights actually kick ass and works far better then the T5HO lights I used in previuos years (I'll sell them to you cheap if you want them). Most of the grow reports are for older technologies going back years, look at the dates, get with the times. Newer review have the P300 light listed with raving reviews and among the top of the breed. I know you're having fun, but please stop spreading wrong info,( or uninformed info as you have never even heard of these until now) , there could be people that would want to use a better (but higher priced) light. each to his own.

Isn't that funny? I was looking online on Ebay for just the same thing this weekend. The only difference is that I was looking for the type you suspend from the ceiling. My front porch has two windows that allow the full winter sun to come in but on either side there's a spot the the sun doesn't reach. My intention is to supplement those darkened areas to help the other plants get some much needed light. Currently I have a double light fixture with screw in fluorescent lights but they don't seem to put out as much light as I would want. Has anyone else used these high output LED lights and would you recommend them? My heart, prayers and thoughts are with all the folks in Florida that have been affected by Irma also. Fred
