Yeah, so, the web sites are next to useless. Forgot - I gave up trying to figure it out on Build.com and went to the Moen site, which isn't much better. After I selected, went back to Build.com to buy. My alcove is 58 & 3/8". If you filter on 'Shower Rods' and 'Chrome' (if that's the finish you want - see link below) you get 11 choices. (Note, if you filter on 'Curved Shower Rods' you only get 1 choice - go figure.) With the link below, you throw out the bottom two because they're tension rods and the double rod if you don't want that. Leaves 8. What's the difference besides the price and the end cap? When you check the description, it will say "adjustable for 5' to 6' alcove" - that's the tube within a tube kind. The ones that say "designed to fit a 5' surround securely" means it's a fixed size and you have to cut it if it's too big. Since 5' is 60", I went with CSR2165 and will have to cut off a little less than 2". CSR2166 is the same only for 6' opening (72") or less. With the curved rods, you don't want to be too far away. Cutting off too much won't work, unless you maintain the angle, although the pivoting mounting on some helps. Oh this is a HUGE problem for me. I hate the way curtains look, but I hate the way glass doors/tracks have to be maintained. My Nana actually put a clear plastic liner and rod above and inside of the glass shower doors to keep it from getting icky, but you didn't see the curtain from the outside. I dunno... DH and I are getting ready to build in a year or two and we might put in a conch-style shower; you go into a tile entrance and go around a corner to a mosaic'd room. No doors, no curtains, just private, big and luxurious. But a lot of tile to clean... Right now in our guest bath we have a curved rod and curtain. Our master bath has doors. I try a different cleaner every month trying to find something suitable! I've hear Spot X is IT, but I can't find it! Blessings, Haley

I would love to know what others have done to tighten so their Moen curved tension rod is tighter; it may have simply been the dimensions we were dealing with. It did, however, make a huge difference in the "roominess" feel of the shower. I got the bar to convince my dad that we needed to go with a curved bar for him instead of a straight one. He was NOT convinced! I would consider doing what we did: buy one, carefully open box, slide the clear plastic end protectors toward the center of the rod instead of cutting them off, and then try to tighten it enough so it stays level. If it does not work, put it back into the original packaging and return.

I got the YNL shower curtain rod recommended above from Amazon (thank you @Sarah Pecor!) and found these shower curtain hooks in brass that match pretty well from Parachute. They have a nice weight to them and when I walk in the room to me it all matches. They don’t stand out and don’t look super yellow which is what I’ve been trying to avoid. I find that brass looks different in different lighting and also different in person vs in pictures. To me it’s close enough and I’m happy with the closeness to my delta trinsic champagne brass hardware.
