Is there a more Revered Revere Pewter?
I've decided I am painting my island. I was going with Revere Pewter to match the pantry shelves. But when tested, it looked lighter than my shelves (even though my records indicate RP). I took one in to match and one choice was Bleecker Beige. It looks like a pretty good match.
However, I held it up against my perimeter cabs, and I think I need more contrast. WDYT? I want something in this family and with green undertones.

However, like any paint color, it will be affected by natural light. I have it in my living room/dining, which get east, north and south light and it Is perfect thought the day. You have very little natural light in the basement room, so going light isn’t always the answer. If you have a dark room where you need to have lights on all the time, do something deeper which works with the lighting you have. Comments (1)Laquer paint doesn't go with the style of your cabinets. You can paint the cabinets white, although that is a big and expensive undertaking. Make sure the white is a warm white that works with your crown molding and countertops. Or just paint your walls a warmer color that minimizes the creaminess of your cabinets, which would be substantially easier and less costly....See Moremtnrdredux_gw

3 years agoI’d double the formula and use the color you have it would add a minimal difference. Here’s a shot of my fireplace @4x the formula of my walls to give you an idea.

3 years agoOK, so I picked up some chips, talked to the cute Paint Boy at the local hardware store, and then used the BM online tool. I put in a picture of the Kitchen, and then I "painted" the cabs "Halo," which was the color we used on them, and then tried colors next to it. BM's rendering of Halo is not the same as IRL, but then the color I am picking won't be either. I figure if they go together virtually they will go IRL
Right now, I am thinking Briarwood.
