BM Revere Pewter w/stained trim?
Comments (11)Well the only ones that I have right now are w/ the lights on. I also use flourescent bulbs so that does affect the color. So far I like it. To me even though it is totally a color it is registering as a 'none color' to my eye which I really appreciate. Nothing in your face. I think that it sets off my antique lithograph's very nicely as well as my ivory curtains. It really is very hard to describe. As soon as it is sunny out I will take daytime pics. It def. is warm and not a cold grey which I was very concerned about since this rm. gets it's best light in the late morning and early afternoon. For now:...See MoreRevere Pewter (BM) can someone show rooms painted with this color
Comments (15)Based on measuring a sample of Revere Pewter and formal colorimetric standards, it belongs to the yellow hue family. Here's a complete Colorography of the color. This is an objective point of view based on the color's spectral curve or "fingerprint" measured in a controlled environment - usually lit with a daylight light source called D65. Which is very different from the very murky, slippery slope of undertones which are painfully subjective and totally determined by individual evaluation. In other words, when it comes to undertone, someone's making their best guess about what they see as far as a color's inherent qualities using random lighting conditions. They could be shuffling paint chips at their kitchen table, in the front seat of their car, out in the garage, standing in their half-built castle. You really have no way of knowing....See MoreNeed a deeper color to compliment BM Revere Pewter
Comments (7)Here are 2 colours that work really well with BM Revere Pewter. OC-20 is called Pale Oak. I've used all 3 together and they look great IMO. I'd struggle to put a dark colour on my ceiling but with the height you have, it might be really nice. Where my Revere Pewter and Rockport Grey come together, it is sometimes hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for, or maybe you want more contrast. In my house, which has a lot of natural light from south facing windows there is a definite green tone to both the Rockport and the RP. But my sister has RP in her house and it is most definitely taupe or greige when contrasted against mahogany trim and lots of natural light, mainly north facing windows. It can be a tricky colour for some, so best to try it out in many places and in different lights (daylight and night, but also different colours of lightbulbs can make a huge difference too) I don't envy whoever has to climb up there and do all that painting!...See MoreWhat white ceiling color with BM Revere Pewter?
Comments (4)Using White Dove would be just fine for both. I have Extra White for my trim & Snow Caps for my ceiling. My ceiling is much warmer than my trim. We are relaxing upstairs in the loft now. I just snapped this pic. I love having the molding pop, but White Dove for both would work great. My master (the open door with the messy bed) is painted Revere Pewter & I LOVE that color!!...See Moresans007
