Sunny Day pics of BM Revere Pewter w/ Dark Trim!
Comments (18)Patty cakes, Do you think that med. grey small lumbar pillows on the leather chairs would get 'lost'? I saw 2 on sale at JCP yesterday and almost got them but then thought that they might be too dark. IKEA has some nice charcoal throws but I really think that I'd like to try my hand at sewing a few. I get what you mean about not adding a 'color' to the rm. and I agree. I have checked out grey curtains but I have this weird fanatical thing about all of my curtains matching if they can be seen from another rm.! Will check out Parma's sexy rm! Jacy - That's exactly how RP looks w/ my white trim! I have a sickness you know. A paint sickness. I admit that I have a sample of PD. In my house it got a bit too purpley for me. There's an excellent episode of Find Your Style where they did a rm. in Hot Spring Stones (1 up from PD) and the accent wall PD. The accent colors were Silver Sage. It was beautiful! I saved that episode for a very longtime. There was also a woman who used to post here who did her bedroom exactly the way your thinking. Her sign on was Girlwithaspirin. Maybe you can do a google search and a pic will come up somewhere. Caroleoh - Yep - that's the rm. that was BT! It's such a small room that there are only so many angles that I can get pics of. I highly recommend BT!!!! Truly if I'd hadn't begun painting the rest of my downstairs such neutral but rich colors I would never have parted ways w/ BT but I just felt that it wasn't working w/ the whole overall concept that I was going w/ and that I really, really like alot. I can't wait to post finished pics of the downstairs. And I mean finished pics! 3 more pairs of curtains to buy (3 more to glue pom-poms on too), get DH to hang the DR chandelier - and maybe, just maybe, if my decorating piggy bank has enough money - get my big black and white print for the hallway....See MoreBM Revere Pewter....I love this color! Comments (21)Thanks Lisa, and everyone else who complimented the color! I've tried BM Duxbury Gray, BM Gray Owl and BM Fieldstone and none worked quite the way I wanted in the last few months. So I understand the frustration of seeing a color look great in someone else's home but not work in your own. I ended up mixing the Gray Owl and Fieldstone and came up with a color that I really like. It is my second choice for the family room along with Revere Pewter. I'm going to start a new thread for that so please stop by and take a look. DH said this B&B wainscot was the easiest project I've given him yet and the cheapest. We did picture frame wainscoting in the study and dining room earlier this year and added a coffered ceiling to the dining room. You can see a hint of each in the photos above. The wainscoting for the stairs is made of 1 sheet of 1/2" MDF cut into 3 inch width's. The entire project, w/o paint, cost $30. I was at work when he did it (I supervise too much) and he said once he figured out the correct angles that the sawing and nailing part only took a couple of hours....See MoreColor palette with BM Revere Pewter
Comments (9)I'm very excited to getting around to painting my bedroom this weekend. Need to decide on trim paint colors. I have decided on BM Revere Pewter for the wall color and a 50/50 cut on the tray. My questions are: 1. Do I do the bottom of the tray, inside edge and ceiling all with the 50/50 cut? 2. What trim color if I don't want it to look to dirty? I have a lot of Simply White leftover from my bathroom but I think that may be too crisp of a white with RP. I appreciate all your suggestions!...See MoreColour compliments to Revere Pewter
Comments (4)I've heard that Chantilly Lace and Decorator's White take on a gray tone, but Simply White and White Dove (not to be confused with Dove White) are best paired with Revere Pewter. I just painted my ceiling Simply White, it's a little brighter than I wanted, so I may end up doing my trim in White Dove....See Morejackiemom22
