BM Revere Pewter
Comments (24)No decision yet, although I'm thinking of giving up the fight for Bennington Gray. I was originally thinking that if we ever paint the rest of the open floor-plan house, we'd choose a taupe like Bennington Gray or lighter. And I'd want the other room colors to flow. But maybe it doesn't matter that a tiny bathroom's walls don't match the rest of the house. That being said, Revere Pewter does look nice next to the painting we picked out, especially with brushed nickel fixtures in the room too. I know testing it out on a wall would be the best option, but for some reason, we just end up agonizing over tiny paint chips to make the final decision! I'll have to post a photo when we're done. P.S. I don't mind the hijacking. ;)...See MoreNeed a rec for a red paint to pair with BM Revere Pewter
Comments (7)My ALL TIME favourite B. Moore red is Bonaparte cc-64, which is actually just below the one that was recommended to you. It looks terrific paired with golds such as concord ivory hc-12, when using the red as a focal wall and the other walls in the gold, for example in a living, dining area. I think that this red would be nice with Revere Pewter for a boys room. Let us know what you go with....See MorePaint suggestion for a complimentary color to BM Revere
Comments (10)I used BM Indian River 985 in my DR and MBR. I wish I had a good picture of it, but I don't already and I dropped my camera in the lake the day of my Dad's funeral several weeks ago so can't take new pics now. My color consultant directed me to Indian River for the DR after we choose some grays (Nimbus 1465 and Thunder AF685) for the neighboring LR and FR. This picture of it in my DR doesn't show a large swath of color. It looks more brown here than IRL. Definite green undertones. The color chip doesn't do it justice. (Painting of the DR and ugly primed wall behind fridge has been completed since I took this pic.) I just held up my old painted sample of Revere Pewter and think it goes well with Indian River....See MoreSunny Day pics of BM Revere Pewter w/ Dark Trim!
Comments (18)Patty cakes, Do you think that med. grey small lumbar pillows on the leather chairs would get 'lost'? I saw 2 on sale at JCP yesterday and almost got them but then thought that they might be too dark. IKEA has some nice charcoal throws but I really think that I'd like to try my hand at sewing a few. I get what you mean about not adding a 'color' to the rm. and I agree. I have checked out grey curtains but I have this weird fanatical thing about all of my curtains matching if they can be seen from another rm.! Will check out Parma's sexy rm! Jacy - That's exactly how RP looks w/ my white trim! I have a sickness you know. A paint sickness. I admit that I have a sample of PD. In my house it got a bit too purpley for me. There's an excellent episode of Find Your Style where they did a rm. in Hot Spring Stones (1 up from PD) and the accent wall PD. The accent colors were Silver Sage. It was beautiful! I saved that episode for a very longtime. There was also a woman who used to post here who did her bedroom exactly the way your thinking. Her sign on was Girlwithaspirin. Maybe you can do a google search and a pic will come up somewhere. Caroleoh - Yep - that's the rm. that was BT! It's such a small room that there are only so many angles that I can get pics of. I highly recommend BT!!!! Truly if I'd hadn't begun painting the rest of my downstairs such neutral but rich colors I would never have parted ways w/ BT but I just felt that it wasn't working w/ the whole overall concept that I was going w/ and that I really, really like alot. I can't wait to post finished pics of the downstairs. And I mean finished pics! 3 more pairs of curtains to buy (3 more to glue pom-poms on too), get DH to hang the DR chandelier - and maybe, just maybe, if my decorating piggy bank has enough money - get my big black and white print for the hallway....See Moremahatmacat1
