what would you put in here? landscape bed in front of house
Comments (3)How about some blue grey salvia? It looks like the area gets a lot of sun. Where is this house located? I would try some things that aren't as blocky looking -- taller plants that might move a little with the wind - things like toadflax , or some other smaller plants with spires and cloudy appearance to foliage ... (green grey, blue grey)...See MoreWhat JM would you put here?
Comments (11)It's a very pretty tree. I have one in full shade and it's doing well. The only thing I'd caution is making sure to watch out for the effects of too much shade/moisture/humidity on these densely-growing dwarfs. If you live in an area with a very damp season, it can cause the interiors of dwarf cultivars to start showing a lot of leaf rot. I have a Kashima that, even in a mostly-sun position, struggles with this. I have to be careful to prune for better air circulation, or the whole tree looks ratty until we get into drier weather. Enjoy your new tree!...See MoreWhat kind of mirror would you put here?
Comments (8)A antiqued mirror might be better if you want a mirror since it doesn't reflect anything pretty? Do you have chandelier in this room. If not, repeating the look of the chandelier would be very nice and then the stairs and gallery wall would peek through for an interesting overall view. Kirkland's had their mirrors on sale and there are some nice ones. Need a big one though for that scale fireplace wall. Pretty fireplace stone and wall!...See MoreEmpty Corner… what would you put here?
Comments (32)@Alexa Nurse Love your coffee table & would not change. The larger lamps look great & in balance with scale of seating furniture. If you get a new & larger table for the corner, maybe think about placing the existing small corner table between the two chairs. I agree with @chispa that the room does not have too much furniture and also with @Diana Bier about adding drapes. Your dining table looks pretty and is a treasure made with love I’m sure!...See More- 3 years ago
