Early voted last week!

A friend told me that there were more people that voted early this year, than voted in the whole election last time.

I early voted in person two weeks ago. No line when I went but a steady stream.

Voted in-person several weeks ago. Hope that keeps the lines shorter for those that could only vote today.

I voted this morning. The parking lot of the church was full when I got there and there was perhaps 30 people waiting in line. It went smoothly and I was in and out in perhaps 30 minutes. It was a beautiful fall morning to stand in line.

I also voted this morning. The line was short, only had 5-6 people in line I am in an older neighborhood with a lot of retired people. They weren't up yet. Lol

About two weeks ago, I voted absentee, as I have for the past twenty some years and dropped our ballots off at the close by voter ballot box.

I'll be voting shortly.

I'm so glad we voted early last week, because a few days after I was exposed to someone with Covid, in close quarters though masked, so I'm self-quarantining.

I voted in person week before last. There was no line in mid afternoon, so it was easy in and out.

I'm sure I could find lots and lots of faults with Florida but ease of voting is not one of them. :)

I voted early in-person. The line was long (partially due to distancing) but moved quickly. The BoE had a worker outside going up and down the line to answer questions (like, do I have acceptable ID?) Once inside the building the process was very quick and very smooth, had separate areas for people who needed to vote provisionally, or who had received a mail-in ballot but wanted to vote in person after all. Great job Franklin County OH!

Neighbors are reporting that the in person voting today has minimal line and very quick - anywhere from 10-20 minutes total.

We went & voted at 9:30, had a 10 minute wait. That was a first for us to have wait. But we were thrilled to see a high turn out.

This is the first year that Illinois sent ballot applications to registered voters who had voted in 2018's general election. DH and I sent our application in; recieved our ballots to complete at home; dropped them into a collection box at our city hall during the time the hall was open for early voting. I checked our ballot progress online: First, not received; then received; then judged "Good, Will be Counted". We didn't trust the mail, even two weeks ahead of today, given the foolish, mail-delaying activities of the newly appointed Postmaster General. I

llinois law states that valid ballots will be counted up to November 17. (You want good, or you want fast? haha)

One of my sib' is voting today. The rest of us, & extended family, & most people we routinely talk with, took advantage of Virginia's expanded "early in person" voting. Drove by our regular polling place (an elementary school) today and the number of cars looked typical. But it's a beautiful fall day here, so in non-pandemic times we would have seen groups of people, often with little kids, walking to the school to vote; didn't see such today.

Lines are never that bad here, a half-hour would be considered long.

2nd try to post this.

It was an hour and 20 minutes from getting out of my car in the parking lot to getting back in. I had dressed warm and the beautiful sunshine meant it was no problem standing outside in line. I listened to my audiobook which made it a pleasant wait.

We voted this morning. Left the house a little before 6. There was already a line and it wasn't yet moving. It was cold so it felt like waiting was longer than it was.

Voted in person last Tuesday. I had planned to wait for today, but got impatient and didn't.

Just finished. Takes 10 minutes to get to my rural outpost. No line, never is. There is just something patriotic about voting all the same day--entire country.

I mailed mine a few weeks ago.

I don't see anything patriotic in general about voting.

There are strong emotions that seem to have stimulated an increase in voter turnout for this election.

I voted by mail, sent it in a couple weeks ago and got an email from the county that it had been received. My son is a Verizon repairman and he just came home 3 hours early. He said they were given time off to vote.

Everyone should be given time off to vote!

There is something patriotic about voting period.

I deposited our mail-in votes in an official drop-box (which I consider voting in person) two weeks ago, and I received confirmation that my ballot was received, accepted, and is being counted.

I had six people ahead of me this morning at 6:45 so I didn't have to stand in line long. I live close enough (2miles) so if there had been a long line, I would have come back home for another coffee and checked again later. Now the wait....

My polling place (and my house) was just entertained with a flyover by a B2 Spirit stealth bomber at low altitude. My house is only about 30 miles from Whiteman AFB where the B2s are stationed.

I voted early as did many Pennsylvanians. Lines at polling places are still around the block! Looks like people are coming out in droves.

I voted early last week. I think (?) it was the first time NY offered early voting in a presidential election, but don't hold me to that.

I stood in line for an hour in freezing cold wind and rain to vote last week. Not complaining mind you, I actually was pretty happy to see that many people willing to stand in line in raw conditions to cast their vote.

Today I happened to drive by my regular polling place, and there was zero line outside. Sigh. Isn't that the way it always works! :)

I voted early several weeks ago. Today we held signs outside our polling location for a few hours. 20 degrees with the wind chill. 45 minute wait to get in. Glad to see people are invested.

Voted on my way home from work today. Took less than 5 minutes. I knew volunteers would be working the polls and wanted to make sure that they felt appreciated

I am. Everyone was mailed ballots in our state. I am going to the polls to drop them off in person. Going to to an interesting night. ;-)

I voted on my way home from my volunteer work today. It was a little after noon. I was #627 at my rural location, the Senior Center, and it took me about 5 minutes total. No one was waiting in line, I voted and left. Of course I know 3 people who regularly work there so I briefly spoke with them as I processed in and out. DH voted on his way in to his volunteer work and was in line for a few minutes as the polls opened. It took him about 10 minutes.

At one time, people were allowed to leave work early to vote, but now that polls are open 9am to 9pm that's no longer the case. A 12-hr window is usually enough for the majority of people. Plus there are advanced polls so people really have no excuse not to vote, if they really want to.

Me and my dh voted on Friday. We were in and out in 10-15 minutes. My dd was voting in Missouri today and they were unable to vote early. She got to the poles before they opened and waited 1.5 hours. My sister, in Florida, waited 30 minutes. My other dd came home from college to vote at a church in front of our sub-division and she had 0 wait time. Overall, very good.

Voting here is all by mail or drop box. I dropped my ballot off a couple of weeks ago and checking online, see that it was received and accepted!! And I got my "I Voted" sticker as well. They had a roll attached to the drop box so you could peel one off :-)

Now we wait...........

We voted this a.m. There was a line, but they did a great job laying things out so it moved along reasonably and the total process took us about 15 min. The turnout is unlike I've ever seen in this small town.

Voted at 9 am. There was about 12 people in line. I'm in a township with 6000 people and 3 polling places. I never had to stand in line before, so I knew other places must be packed and I was right. My daughter voted mid morning in her township and waited 45 min. The township next to me was a 2 hour wait. On the evening news they show lines and lines of people waiting to vote in PA.

I went and dropped off our ballots today. Planned to vote in person at a voting center but DH was under the weather. So I dropped our ballots off there instead. No lines. But we have them all over, no longer assigned a specific place. Hope my guy wins. Looking good so far.

I voted Friday. There was only one polling place for our entire county this year.

It was at the Alerus Center where they have various indoor sports arenas for football, ice hockey, concerts, conventions...it’s beyond huge.

The “early voting” had been going on all last week so it wasn’t crowded at all.

I managed to walk in while DH parked the truck, but we borrowed a wheel chair to haul me out for the last mile and a half! It seemed that far anyway.

All-in-all it was quick and highly organized process. All the local polling monitors from the various towns were there, too. Great social distancing, everyone in masks.

"Everyone should be given time off to vote!" How are they not? I read the larger polling times but still don't think that's a good enough reason. In my State it's required they let us go to vote. I can't imagine why a State government/caucus/grassroots committee hasn't made sure this is the law of your land. Sounds like something for some to work on between now and the next election. That's how our government is supposed to work. People press for laws that make life easier for all!!!
