Grout color for Subway Tile in Black-White Kitchen
Comments (2)I would go with gray grout - white is difficult to maintain. I have white grout now and would never use it again. If you are iffy on the gray, just go with a lighter gray color...just dark enough so it doesn't look dingy. Good luck!...See MoreHelp! What color grout for black and white tile to look seamless?
Comments (16)It looks to me like the tiles are aligned properly but the tiles themselves do not have a perfect repeating print. Since you've already said you aren't a huge fan and tile is so hard to rip up, I would use this as an excuse to return the tile. I would use black grout though. White grout will get yellow/brown with age and stand out. Black fades into the background and your eye skips over it....See Moregrout color for patterned tile

Comments (18)Referencing the recommendation above for white grout for the subway tile walls — we did that in one bathroom, and it doesn’t look as good as the “frost” we did in another bathroom. On white subway I prefer frost. I think it was Maipei brand. The actual white looks a bit yellow. The frost is so light it practically disappears, does not put off a yellow hue, but gives a teeny bit of contrast, just enough so that you can see the tile pattern. You want to be able to see the pattern, such as the one you are doing in herringbone, rather than it appearing as a solid white wall....See MoreAltair
