These were our gifts to all those who participated in our wedding. DH made the wood frame, including the hand turned spindles. I cross stitched the faces. How the simple folk did it 35 years ago.

Annie--that's the clock I though of, too! It was fun to watch the animation when it struck the hour.

My grandfather clock. I bought this on a trip to North Carolina in 1986. My sister, brother-in-law and I were visiting our brother. He had a beautiful grandfather clock and he took us to the shop where he bought it. My sister and I ended up both buying the same clock. My sister's clock was shipped to her. My brother-in-law put it together. The owner of the shop delivered mine because he had another coming to Baltimore where I was living at the time. He set it up for me. It made it in great shape when I moved back to Cincinnati in 1998. I love it because of the great memories I have from that trip and time.
