Black on black, who has a matte black toilet? Love it or hate it?
Comments (10)I am not a professional designer but I have seen a matte black toilet that I really like. My theme has been white with black accents in the bathroom, kitchen and laundry. I have seen some black toilets and I have not liked them before but this matte one I have my eye on is tempting me to want to buy it. The walls are white, the toilet roll will be matte black. The chrome button on the toilet i will replace with either white or matte black? What is your thoughts on the toilet flush button colour? With me what has held me back on buying the toilet is being game enough to go black. I think being matte black it should be alright with fingerprints, what are your thoughts on finger marks with matte black? I would appreciate your opinion. Comments (19)I'm putting in matte black cupboards so I've really been looking to match them. GE's Black Slate is more Deep Matte Charcoal. But GE Cafe series black is the same as GE's matte black and even just "black." I was looking at a dishwasher in "black" and asked the chat person if it was flat black? Yes it is. Can get GE's Profile series in matte black still. I'm taking another in-person shopping whirl with a sample of my cupboards to be safe. Black can vary a LOT. Black stainless looks like metal, not as polished, but dark--very pretty. If I can't totally match the matte black to my cupboards, I'll go that direction....See MoreCafe range in matte black with stainless hood?
Comments (8)With induction you may need to upgrade your electrical, so that would be one mark against it (similar to a dual fuel range). But for ease of cleaning it wins by a long shot. I have never heard that induction doesn't get hot enough. My personal experience extends to an induction hob, which I used to make rice and boil water for noodles. It seemed totally fine for those tasks. My friend just finished her kitchen and put in a GE Cafe double oven induction range - she says she can't get over how quickly water boils and how responsive it is. I suggested induction to her - she didn't know about it, and they were going to run a gas line and I suggested induction instead. Her DH told me over the weekend that he's SO GLAD they didn't do that. so regarding pot temperature - I would think that would have more to do with the type of pan you're using than the range itself, as the induction coils are just exciting the pan material; the stove itself doesn't get hot. The only thing that doesn't function that well on induction is a wok, or other cooking that requires an open flame (smores, roasting peppers). Pretty short list....See MoreWld like a matte black wrought iron curtain rod/hardware that's 15-16'
Comments (6)Rods telescope so you can put multiple rods together. The issue is the support. In 15 ft you'll need supports at each end and three supports in the middle. Are the drapes for show or do they have to close? https://www.ballarddesigns.com/rugs-drapery/drapery/hardware/facet/f-finish-uFilter/Black?rows=36 https://www.wayfair.com/filters/-l6262-k~w003794594-a153941~511430-p87274~180~195.html?sku=W003794594&refid=GX528091864779-W003794594_1130243793_1130243795 https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/rod-desyne-sphere-custom-cut-length-drapery-curtain-single-rod-w004095892.html?piid=1712721288%2C1712721380 https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/menagerie-casa-outdoor-curtain-single-rod-xce1183.html?piid=16588808%2C16588820 You have lots more options if the rods don't have to be decorative....See MoreIdaClaire
