I agree too. It looks great as is, adding a rather organic feel to the vignette.

I think it would definitely be too much black, and way less interesting that the vignette now.

I remember your post from a week or so ago. I enjoy seeing your spaces and think you have a fantastic sense of style!

This one I think needs a bit more tweaking. I love the lamp but imo the frame is not the right size for the space. It is too close to the same height as the lamp. Same with the gold vase. Also, the frame seems too heavy when painted black. I would let a different color dominate, while still adding a touch of black.

I think black is best in small doses for the most impact.

I would leave it as is. Right now the wood of the frame and the black items on the table play well with your staircase.

i like black.. so my opinion is biased, but yes. paint it black!

The table seems delicate and open and that frame along with the lamp become very heavy - it looks a bit top heavy. Can you put something under the table?

I do like the way it looks now, but can very much appreciate the desire to paint it!

I think that looks 5000 times better. Can move the book over a little towards the vase. I would make the lampshade slightly overlap the art. Are you leaning the art or hanging it?

That frame is so much better! It mimics the thinner legs of the table - well done!!

Now I think it is perfect. I am glad you didn't mind all the suggestions. Never can be sure how much is too much on the www.

If you want to be uber perfect then I would take two black zip ties and tie the cord to the lamp on to the leg of the table so that it cannot be seen.

I love the stools but don't think I would put them in that spot. It might be that they go with the rest of the space but judging from just the photo above, I say put them elsewhere.

Put them under the table. They can be pulled out when needed.

I peeked at your photos on IG. What a treat to see. I LOVE IT. I must be doing something right because I see that we have the same s-shaped dining chairs. Mine are in black. Your home is fab. Are those bundles of dried flowers hanging from the ceiling? It looks so casual yet so perfect. Sigh.... Just heavenly!
