Well, my 2 gal buckets were full, I did put a skinny ice pack between them in cooler, should have brought my 5 gal soy sauce buckets to put ice in but they're so big. I just kept sticking buckets back in cooler and would cover with wet towel when not bagging or fluffing I did display head lettuce and bags of arugula in a big SS bowl with margarine tub block of ice covered with towel in middle, then lettuce put on top of towel. Later near end of market packed the bowl away and just displayed heads in small cooler on top of 2 tubs of ice but didn't sell any. I don't know if anyone sold lettuce today - DS said someone (prob. MM as the only other produce vendor looked like she just had herbs and jellies) was selling lettuce $2.50/half lb (??). I was asking $4/head and my biggest head was over 1 lb, figured I'd lower price as heads got smaller but none sold. Did sell a couple of gallons of looseleaf, and 2 women asked for 1/2 gal so I eyeballed it - then 1 said she wanted mix so I had to eyeball a quart of each! Still have 2 buckets full in cooler in basement. DH will have to try to sell it tomorrow while I'm away.

Susie, pop-tarts and dry snacks (unopened) should be fine, even most fruit. Last year, I traveled a lot for my job and always brought my own snacks with me on the plane. Water or soda will have to be purchased after you go through TSA. I flew in April and forgot I had a 3 oz. bottle of Dan Active drinkable yogurt in my purse (it was an early, early morning flight and that was for breakfast). TSA didn't stop me at all; however, one time they searched my purse because I had an apple in there....go figure. Make sure you have your IDs/credit cards out for easy access BEFORE you get to the ticket counter, and that includes the kids IDs. There's nothing worse than trying to dig your IDs and money out while standing at the ticket counter and everyone is giving you dirty looks for holding up the line. I'm not sure how they are billing for the extra checked bags now...whether it's online or at the ticket counter. BTW, I'm in Orlando (about 45 min away from Disney) and the advice Mustangs (Cathy) gave is spot on. The weather is great and you'll have a wonderful time!

I bought my Mendota 44I in March, 2011. I replaced the batteries this fall, when the ignition system would not work. Long story short, the pilot light can be lit manually, but only stays on about 24 hours. The ignition system (electronic spark generator for lack of the proper term) does not work at all. When the pilot goes out the system goes into lockout after it tries to relight three times. (Makes me nervous that the pilot light gas flows about 30 seconds each time, for three times, before it locks out.) (No the pilot flame is not "dancing" or otherwise being pulling off the electrode.) Its taken forever for the dealer and installer and to get their acts together. The dealer claims Mendota has just put out a modification, which the dealer does not even have yet, that requires the electronic module, apparently the pilot light assembly, and god knows what else, to be relocated, because in their current position, the control module overheats, and stops functioning. The dealer has no one trained to do this modification, and is not sure who will do it. All of this while my one year warranty is running out in a couple of months. The electronics and valves (Proflame made by SIT) is an Italian company. Proflame by SIT is used in several different inserts by other manufacturers, and most of them have a much better manual, available online, than Mendota's, with better troubleshooting and color coded wiring schematics in the manual. On the other hand, Mendota seems to believe that nobody should take the glass off this fireplace except for an authorized servicer. For sure, it is impossible to work on this, or even check the electrical connections on the wiring harness, without completely removing the insert from the fireplace, including detaching the flue, etc etc. This insert had the best looking fire, logs, etc. while burning when I was looking for an insert, , but I too am wondering if I made a huge mistake buying the FV-44i!!!!!!!!!!

I'm like the OP--no cell phone, bcs I can't stand the idea of another monthly bill. But...I think it might be handy. We've contemplated getting a cell phone and restricting all LONG DISTANCE calls to the cell phone (none allows over the landline). Since we still have dial-up, that would mean we could be online & on the phone at the same time. And it would simply MOVE the long-distance bill, instead of ADDING an additional expense. Sort the same strategy western_pa_luann used. I remember being struck by how important cell phones were here in NYC on Sept. 11, 2001. if a major storm knocked out all power, the landlines would go dead as well. This is actually NOT true automatically. True, if a falling trees knock over power lines, they'll knock over phone lines (in those places where phone lines are above ground). But in that blackout, here in NYC, NO cell phone worked, and ALL land lines did. The phone company has its own power grid. This was true in many other areas as well. Lots of young people (college age, esp.) find that having their own cell phone means they can keep the same number even if they switch roommates, or towns, etc. No arguing w/ the roommate over whether they've each paid their phone bill, etc.
