My most recent apple pie. It was a very good one. I had an "aha" moment with this one. Normally I would just go by the recipe in my cookbook, but for some reason I was looking at the recipe on the Pillsbury pie crust box and saw that the temperature and time were different than my recipe. Since the ingredients were basically the same, I used the time and temperature on the box and oh boy, it turned out great!!

I spotted this is our churchyard. I have no idea if there is an actual well underneath, or if someone laying the stone just felt the need to express their exasperation on that given day, or maybe it’s just to make passers by wonder why the WELL it’s there?

There’s so many meanings and nuances to a well placed well. Actually, I’m now wondering, given the location, if it might not well have a slightly accusatory tone to it.

My MIL, who I adored, had “Now your troubles are over” put on her headstone.

There’s always been a differing of opinion whether she meant her troubles or other’s troubles.

My father and his wife had ”It was great while it lasted “ on their gravestone, along with a picture of their dog. I have mixed feelings about it since I could not stand her.
