Toto Aquia wall-mount toilets - 20 weeks backordered
Comments (12)everyone of these models (except one and when I followed that link on Amazon - it was PEX after all) - I'm seeing has the "#1" or "-01" listed which is for Pex supply lines. Ours will be copper. That should show "-02". Already looked on Terry Love's site in the "shopping" but didn't post in the forum. There are a jillion places to look on the web. In the meantime, I found out that Duravit is cheaper than Toto in many cases. Especially Durvan's new sensowash bidet seat is cheaper than Toto's washlet. This shopping whether on line or in the local stores is a LOT OF WORK! I'll let you guys know what I find out. The Qualitybath.com folks talked to Toto who they make direct orders from (they are an authorized dealer) and they said the problem was with the Sanagloss. Now I'm wondering if the problem is with their copper supply. I can only speculate. But any of you who plan to purchase a TOTO fixture, I would think you should put that at the top of your priority list to order. Things could get worse....See MoreMy Toto Aquia III Install Experience
Comments (7)Last week I replaced an existing toilet with an Aquia II. This was the first time I've ever installed a toilet and it took less than 3 hours total, including removal of the old toilet; removing, cleaning and re-installing the 1/2 threaded supply nipple; and drilling 4 holes in the marble floor tiles for the mounting cleats. The only confusing part was Toto included the wrong installation manual with the toilet bowl. The included manual was for an Aquia I, which uses a very different interface between the bowl and toilet flange. I realized this when looking at the "included parts list" in the manual compared to what was in the box and the part number on the toilet bowl. I downloaded the correct Aquia II install manual from Toto's webite. Another complication was that the old toilet was grouted to the floor. I had to scrape/chip this grout off of the marble tile. Aquia II works great and we've already bought a second one to install in another bathroom....See MoreTight two-way toilet run-off: Toto vs DXV
Comments (37)Adding to this thread for anyone considering a DXV... I spent a lot of time considering plumbing fixtures for my home addition. I love the look and feel of the DXV Fitzgerald, and got the console for my powder room and undermount sink for my master, along with the matching toilets. The functionality seems great (nice flush and solid feel) however, on both toilets, the white porcelain is different colors -- the tanks are a grayish white compared to the rest. I'm still trying to work this out with Ferguson and the manufacturer... something to be aware of. When shopping for my fixtures, the Ferguson rep made the point that if you want your whites to match, go with all the same manufacturer (rather than mixing, say a Kohler toilet with a DXV sink). I did that and yet the whites are still not matching. I've had guests comment on my "two-toned toilet" -- not the look I was going for....See MoreTile behind Toto wall hung toilet?
Comments (14)Clarify. OP was talking wainscot. I assumed wood. of sorts?. 1. secure framing 2. 2 cross blocking in wall. 3. replace drywall with plywoodUnder wainscot and spanning toilet now you are structurally strong and have backing for wainscot and structurally stronger for stress of toto and yes also using the toto bracket kit These forums crack me up Do you suppose ive seen a few failed wall hung totos on tiled walls in my day?...See Moremjammjam
