Yellow spots on Calathea warscewiczii
Comments (4)Melanie, if you suspect a nutrient deficiency (have you fertilised? how long have you had it? what soil is it in?) then try a complete balanced liquid fertiliser - I use Dynagro FP. If that's the problem, you won't fix the damaged areas but it shouldn't get worse and new leaves should come in okay. Calatheas are notoriously picky. About everything. They need humidity, bright indirect light, no drafts and moist but free draining soil. Their thin leaves are quick to show problems. As far as pests go, they can get spider mites which are tiny and hard to see, but I don't think that's the problem here. Beautiful leaf pattern!...See MoreCalathea Zebrina drooping dying please help!
Comments (9)If you start noticing wilting, there are a few things that could be wrong with your Calathea Zabrina. It may not like the ambient temperature because of being too low. Please make sure both indoor temperatures stay between 65 – 80°F. If you are growing Zebra plants outdoors and temperatures have started to fall from 60 °F, relocate your plant to indoor warmer locations. Another reason for leaves wilting could be dehydration. Please ensure to maintain the soil moist to solve the issue. Do not make the soil soggy by overwatering, as it can cause more complex problems...See MoreCalathea warscewiczii slighly “floppy” leaves?

The water from the tap has a small amount of clorine, so I keep the water for one or two days before watering my plants. Not sure what is happening. I would be happy if some one helped me with this...See MoreVernel Gaviola
