I love that shower curtain! Blue and brown is a very hot color combination right now, so you shouldn't have trouble finding accessories. My son's room is blue and brown, and we got some things at Target and others at Kohls. I think a light blue wall color would look great with it. If you're going to put new fixtures in there too, the oil-rubbed bronze finish would look really pretty. As for whether it would be too different from the rest of the house, I guess it depends on where it is. In my last house, I had a blue bathroom even though the house was mostly decorated with red, green and gold. It was sort of down a hall, so it didn't matter. I'm no expert, so I hope you get some other responses, too. I really like it though!

It’s a beautiful neutral color- this bathroom has no natural light due to lack of windows, however, the hallway to the bathroom does and I don’t see any changes- good luck with your project!

lighten it up with an overall paint job. forget the wainscotting, the space is too small to make an impact. Wall sconces that shine up and down. Houzz has some beauties. since it is a basement, try a door that has frosted glass instead of panels it will FEEL lighter, but still private.

Don't skimp on a washer dryer combo. I saw this one at Costco the other day and though small, it has great reviews. It's only 27" wide
