Monicakm, that beaded one WAS one I briefly looked at, but my bathroom is more traditional. If I had contemporary that would definitely be one on my short list...I loved it. I saw it in one of the wallpaper books from an Interior Designer (ID). Thought it could be used almost like a backsplash. It was really gorgeous. The wallpaper I am considering is from the Candice Olson Dimensional Surfaces Book. The glass bead design is called Script Geo $130/roll. You can't tell by the picture, but the background has a beautiful sheen and the glass bead design is raised off the paper. The one with a faint scroll design with a grasscloth type weave is called Filigree on Sisal $140/roll. Those are retail prices, but the Interior Designer can get it for much less.

Cindy - thanks for the info, the back of the paper does state it's washable, so hopefully they mean it! Shermann and Andrea - I have my challenges with little boys but this is our powder room, most of their cleanup happens between the basement bathroom or their upstairs bathroom. i can see the light switch being an issue, the paper states it's washable, so hopefully that will help. Treasure - you did not post your room in my other post so now worry. It's gorgeous, I was leaning towards #2 until I saw your room. Wow! thanks nutmegxo and caminnc- The wallpaper looks much more blue on the screen than in real life. In person, it's almost a blue/gray or even a hint of green to it. My house is pretty much a blank slate right now. We painted the foyer and the family room when we first moved in almost 4 years ago. I'm not a fan of the paint colors and will repaint. This mirror is right off the powder room and I love it. Since they are so close in proximity, do they work together ok?

Dianalo, thanks for the doors link! Funcolors, I just don't like the grooves that are routed into the doors. Those are the white lines you see on the doors in the photo. Andee, yes I'd remembered the gal who painted her counter. I think there are some online tutorials. Sheilaaus122, aren't we officially just sweet kids until we reach 65? ;) Rosie, fundraisers? Yes we really do deserve laundry rooms that make us smile. I called my utility company the other day to ask if I could sew a "cozy" for my electric water heater. The gal put me on hold and when she came back she said they were all chuckling over the idea and I was the first person to ask that. Can't imagine why, because I can't be the only woman alive sick of staring at an ugly water heater. Htnspz, I've been looking and looking for that paper or close to it. I'm still looking. That is what I like doing, taking something that's a bit edgy or different and seeing if I can pull it off. I've made some colossal mistakes that way, but also had a few nice triumphs. If it's any comfort, I can't find the paper either and I sure have tried. If one of us finds the stuff, we should alert the other. Which bedroom pic inspired you? You know the one that got to me was the bed with big orange flowers, orange checked bedskirt, and lots of pale green trim in the room. Never could find that quilt anywhere. I have often had to kiss a lot of frogs before finding the prince, decoratingly speaking. ScoobyRuby, thanks for the tip about Ikea. It never would have dawned on me that I could get a pre-made. Bronwynsmom, you said, "it combines two things that would be better by themselves." It combines two things we don't normally see together. That's the whimsical part that made me laugh -- but hey, I'm glad there are people on this earth with all sorts of tastes that are different from mine. I enjoy seeing what they do. Good thoughts about the laundry room. The green in this guest bath will be low; it shouldn't reflect on the guests' skin. I've spent a lot of time on Thibaut's home page. I agree with you they have some great stuff. Sheesh, you're right that hardware needs to go. I'm thinking I'll put up wainscoting (I probably have enough left over paper for the bathroom) and paint that and the vanity green. To those of you who didn't like the paper, thank you for sharing what is so for you. I go out on decorating limbs a bit, but with hopes that I can make it work. Sometimes I can. Sometimes I can't.

Thank you @everdebz. This photo is more my style but it is way too big and quite expensive. This dark one is 62" x 48" x 18" The 48" is too wide. Perfect size is around 50" x 40" or even a 40" x 40". It is a bit dark but I go for more matte. This is the Century FurnitureGrand Oak Coffee Table. My sofa is 80" long. so way too big. I do have plenty of room though. I have seen it in person. You could practically sleep on it. I posted another I liked further up in the post . I am looking for something that does not have the look of new but not farmhouse. It would be cool to find an old dining room table and cut it down to a coffee table but that has not happened so I keep looking. I like the white one as well but it is only 30 inches wide. I am good with the style of the Century one but it is really dark so maybe the white or light paint color is best. I think I can get this table in a 40" x 40" in any color. There is a lot of space between the 2 sofas.
