Hey There: Sunrooms are a great way to improve living quality in your house as well as increasing the value of it. Enjoy outdoor experience on a rainy or cold day and watch the stars at night – bring the outdoors inside and extend the time you can enjoy it. Besides the design of your new sunroom, you must consider how to bring shading to it - you don’t want to sit in a glass house and get cooked. The shades should easy adapt to your shading and privacy needs for example with a bottom up top down operation for pleated blinds, roman shades and venetian blinds. Must be able to cover triangles and odd shapes (most sunrooms have some non-squared glass) Must be able to be installed overhead for skylight or similar Must be minimalistic to keep the open sunroom feeling Must be available in many colors, prints and designs to choose from Sunrooms and window treatment go hand in hand for a perfect sunroom experience.

I go with the sunroom, too, and here's why. You can build a shed for cheap at some point, and until then you'll probably keep one car inthe driveway, and all the bikes and basketballs in the garage along with the yard and snow tools. The sunroom will make a great playroom while the little ones are little. I've seen that sunroom with nothing in it but a low-pile play rug and Lego. Or balls. Or plastic hockey sticks. Or those big Little Tykes (slide, trikes, trains) Or Hot Wheels. Or dollhouses. Or art projects (easy-to-clean tile floor). Usually just one or two of those. But a great playspace, near you but not, outdoors but not. After they are done with those types of toys, it can be dining space and added living space. You don't need the shed until Boy #1 gets a car. Oops, didn't mean to scare ya lol! Upstairs, I wonder if you can steal some space from the game room to make a reach-in closet for Bedroom 2, and use its walk-in closet to expand the bathroom. 5 boys will need more counterspace, more drawer storage, and (I can't believe I'm saying this, I'm usually a 1-sink gal) 2 sinks. Downstairs, consider eliminating the study closet and adding a shower to the powder room.

I love a hand scraped hardwood floor but I'm not sure I see that jiving with the more formal traditional cherry cabinets. A regular white oak floor that was natural would work. I think you need to work from the bottom up. First, pick your floors, but they should also reflect the vintage/style of your home. There seems to be hardwood under the bar area - is that also under the carpet. If so, I would sand it down and finish it with a water based clear coat for the lighter look you like. You could run it into the kitchen and it would look fine with the cherry or if you decided to paint the cabinets. Otherwise, I think real actual hardwood is a wise investment. A couple of chairs on either side of the fireplace with maybe a small coffee table. I don't love the 90's green marble so I'd switch that out. I'm not a fan of wood trim so I'd paint the mantle and maybe try to pry off some of the decorative trim (but that's just me) as I prefer light and bright. It's hard to arrange furniture with no dimensions, so that may have to wait.

IMO a TV needs to be ain a space with less windows unless all those sun room windows are fitted with Solar shades that block most of the light which to me seems to defeat the purpose of a sun room. I do like the idea of the FP in a nice conversation area minus the TV and then the TV somewhere else but in this case I think you might need to have both in the same space . I have to say I love the DR in the sun room it allows for tones of seating if you entertain like I do.I am having a bit of difficulty getting my head around the floor plan with the pictures so maybe it is just me . Waht is the space in the upper right corner i can’t make out the word there .For me the kitchen is really off
