Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

How to paint the exterior of my colonial home with stucco exterior?

I am updating my new home. It's colonial style (2 stories, 2 fireplaces, some brick on the exterior), but oddly, it has mostly a stucco exterior. First, what color scheme will work with the red brick? Second, does it need lap siding? Or, can the stucco work?

I think the stucco is just fine. These greens look good with brick. Paint everything the same green. Have you thought of replacing the front double doors with a single door and sidelights?

I'm just a homeowner but I would also go with middle 1 on top row, it's darker now & I don't care for it, doesn't match as well as the middle top 1 which I think will give the house a warmer look, it blends in beautifully with the brick. Dark color makes the foundation area more "important looking" when brick should be the focal point.

Maybe you can try a large swatch of the finalists and see what happens after a couple weeks. It depends on what color your "dirt" is. Your side yard is all paved so I don't really know that you would pick up much from the ground. The light stucco on my building bases did not seem to get too dirty. Some of the darker colors were darker than the actual dirt or airborne "soot" or whatever it is, and showed dirt more. Kind of like a dark car (or black pants to use your analogy)...So it depends on your local environment.

Would you stick with the briarwood for the entire outside (stucco and siding) or pick two complementary colors? Yes. Don't do two colors. It would chop up the aesthetic. One color will have more curb appeal impact. btw I am loving the SW alpaca color SW7702. Do alpaca and briarwood complement each other? Technically, yes. You'd have to test carefully and check the pair under different lighting conditions because Alpaca could shift purplish.

Thanks for these ideas! I like the greens that lean more toward gray or the gray.

Hi! I have a traditional 2 story. My home currently is on the left but I’m having new taupe siding being installed soon and new landscaping in 3 weeks! It’s not totally farmhouse modern but it is definitely much better than the grey/blue the previous owners had!

On the top pic sorry! But just wanted to show you some ideas! We are doing a light taupe siding (but that’s a mock photo) so the siding will be a tad lighter.
