Toto Drake II, 1.28 gal. flush - anyone have this?
Comments (5)We had two Eco Drake toilets installed 4 months ago and we are very happy with the performance. I don't know what a water spot means in your question but the flush is very powerful and effective. (I see in the link I have below that water spots are mentioned and are large). Occasionally, just as with our old American Standards, sometimes you need to use a toilet brush. We have had no clogs or need for a plunger. I am thrilled with how fast they refill and I know with 3 new Totos in our house we have reduced our water usage. I bought ours at a local green building supply place. Just googling it now I amazed at how low the price is on efaucets...$210 plus $80 shipping. I'm pretty sure we paid about $400 for it. The Eco Drake is highly recommended by me. Read reviews on terrylove.com too--that's how I made our decision. Here is a link that might be useful: plumber Terry Love review toilets...See MoreToto Vespin II 1.0 gpf vs 1.28 gpf
Comments (4)We loooooove the washlet! We'd used it in Montreal when staying in a hotel, and decided to add it to our bathroom remodel. The only snag that we've had is that the pre wash sensor is so sensitive that it would go off when someone entered the bathroom (our toilet is not in a separate room). We solved the problem by taking off the plastic sensor cover on the washlet, and putting a small piece of cut to size card stock over the hole, then putting the cover back on. That decreased the sensitivity sufficiently to make it work only when someone lifts the lid or sits down. We like the toilet and washlet so much that we're replacing our other 3 toilets, and adding another washlet....See MoreToto Drake Toilet -- 1.28 or 1.6? Not sure of difference...
Comments (3)I put Drake II, 1.28 gpf, elongated bowl, universal height, cefiontect glaze toilets in my new house and I've been very happy with them after 4 months. They work a lot better than the 3 gpf contractor specials in my old house. I've never used the 1.6 gpf model. But since I'm in a very dry area of the country and on septic I wanted a low use model and have not been disappointed....See MoreToto Drake or Eco Drake-Discontinued?
Comments (6)We just put in a round front Toto Drake II (I believe 1.28gpf) with sanigloss finish. Replacing an old American Standard Cadet. Love the tornado flush and sanigloss finish (they call it cefiontect now not sanigloss but sanigloss is easier to spell and pronounce IMO). I clean the bowl with regular dish soap or fabuloso/water mixture. So far no clogs whereas the Cadet clogged a few times a year (though it was pretty old so maybe that contributed to the occasional clogging). I liked the Cadet and it was a workhorse but I prefer the tornado flushing system of the Toto. Water spot of the Drake II is normal/fine. Though we have a Toto Aquia in the basement and the water spot on that one is WAY too small. Also, back then the Aquia did not have the tornado flush system it comes with now. I believe the water spot is still too small though, even though the flushing action is better....See MoreSofia Akhter
