Agree with Miss CP... Don't bother with the upgrade. Our production home will be finished soon (week, week and a half), and we chose one of the "standard" paints. Sooooo glad we didn't upgrade to a different color, because the builder used cheap, chalky, watered-down flat paint for EVERY wall and ceiling (even in bathrooms and the kitchen, argh)... I would have hated to upgrade the color, for them to use that God-awful excuse for flat paint, and still be stuck repainting the whole dang house.

I think some of those laminates are mimicing level one granites; many have commented that level one granites were actually less expensive than the laminate estimates they got...not sure if that included installation costs. Do you live in an area where designers are readily available? Not all of us do....I found a tile store designer with A great “eye” who I hired to advise me on paint colors and other design input I wanted. I would consider painted cabs with your flooring choice since I am having a hard time thinking of a stain color and wood that would compliment. A darker, greyed-brown might work but the wood would have to be carefully chosen to avoid orangish/reddish tones.

The C tables need to have a smooth surface …to move them as needed…either no rug or a rug that goes far enough under the furniture…for them to move easily… another thing to consider is…the room seems to be mainly be tans and beiges…a little contrast and color would warm the room up…a good way to do this is add a color you love ( in a pale version) to a wall …like the one behind the tv… Or…choose a more colorful rug..and take a color from that for the wall and other accessories… like pillows and a throw… another option would be colorful art to offer more color options…with bright on the walls ….if you don’t have a lot of natural light in this room

I found the wood tv stand I am considering on Kaiyo, a used furnitre site but it seems pretty legit…its $288. plus $99. for delivery but for furniture order of $350+…so i found a picture i like 28x33 in size…for arounf $100. to get my order eligible to ship…so for both its still cheaper than i can find the tv console new for $745. on the fence whether to place the order or not!! Anyone ever order from Kaiyo?
