Filthy Rich, starring Kim Cattrall and Gerald McRaney (love him!). An evangelistic family worth billions. Gerald, the head wasn't as God-fearing and pure as the family believed, and learned of his discretions upon his death.

We have it recorded ready to watch. I love Gerald! I have had the pleasure of spending time with him and Delta. They are both great people. He was renamed Mac Daddy. He loved that. He is very funny and down to earth. We shared meals with them several times and so enjoyed our times together. Delta is a beautiful lady and very friendly.

I look forward to seeing him in this new show. He is always a great actor.

In this economy I think many folks will be staying home more and will look to ways to save on food. Vegetable plantings is a great way to go. I learned many of my techniques simply watching shows like Gardening Naturally (thanks for helping me recall the name of that show Marg). In that show I learned more about proper composting, the use of manure, seaweed of all things, and other stuff. Sure it certainly may not appeal to all audience, but it was very imformative. Too bad we no longer have such shows. The new Victory Garden - well it's simply rehashed segments with a new host - Jamie Durie, a well known garden designer/landscaper from Australia. The show focuses mainly on designing on a grand scale - although it does emphasis green techniques, water conservation, etc.. It does have a small segment with Kip as the actual gardener and Chef Michel cooking the organic way. However it just doesn't have that 'Organic feel' to it. It seemed too Hollywood or too New Age. In my opinion -- good eye candy, not much on substance. There is good show on PBS - called Cultivating Life. While it is short, it does have everything, from building trellis, to planting, to cooking. It's good enough - although not close enough to the shows of the past. I've pretty much given up on watching shows on TV. There's hope however, and it exist online. Anybody else getting tired of the repeats of new shows? What About Brian and Ugly Betty were on this afternoon. I don't like new shows. Got into a couple a few years ago and because the ratings weren't fantastic in the first two weeks they were moved around and cancelled very quickly. Don't try to make me like a show by bombarding me with repeats of the first episode. Promise me you will broadcast the whole first season, and broadcast it in the same timeslot, and then I may think it's worth investing my time in it.

We just watched the first 2 episodes. So far we like it. Mom/Son -- eeeeeewwww. Like the music. This show reminds me of a serious movie we watched once, I was upset for days after watching it. It was called Shuttle. From wikipedia....Shuttle is a 2008 thriller film about a group of young travelers who are kidnapped by an airport shuttle driver with unknown motives. The film was written and directed by Edward Anderson, and stars Tony Curran, Peyton List, and Cameron Goodman

Anyone watch the new tv show Rebel?

I watched both episodes of Rebel. I am not crazy about the main character and find her annoying and the entire show seems somewhat phony. She overacts, I can't keep track of who her kids are and the people in her life. She's been married multiple times. I don't know, I'll give it one more episode and see if my feelings change. Somehow, it just seems over acted and silly. Jane

Oh Raven!!! LUCKY you!!! I've always loved him, and he was the wonderful doctor on This is Us.

Remember the original show that he was in.....Simon and Simon. Private detectives. You sure don't hear anything about the other actor.

I follow a group on FB about the Miss America organization (don’t judge). Delta was involved in her youth and still follows. When there was an uproar a few years ago with the leadership, Gerald would come on expressing her views. She was not happy with what was going on! You could tell from the posts that they are both real, down to earth people. So refreshing.

I watched the first episode of Filthy Rich. I’m on the fence about it. I’ll watch a few more episodes to see if I like it. Have you seen Why Women Kill on the Women’s Network with Lucy Liu? I really like that one.

I watched the first episode too. I was disappointed. Expected better writing and plot development, but I will give it a few more tries. Kim looks so different. I would not have recognized her. Face lifts have changed her face. Still pretty, but different.

Liira and Sheliajoyce, I feel the same way. It certainly wasn't as gripping as I thought it would be.

Speaking of face-lifts, I just finished watching one of Dolly Parton's Heartstrings episodes; "If I Had Wings".Great song, btw. Starring Gerald McRaney and Delta Burke. Delta Burke is completely unrecognizable.
