Porcelain slabs for bathtub walls

Hello! I‘m having a complete

bathroom remodel and I would like to use 31.5“ x 63” porcelain slabs for the walls (two horizontally on the middle part and one on opposite ends of the bathtub wall) and large porcelain tiles to fill up the remaining spaces. I’m trying to minimize the grout so I’m going for the slabs to make it easier to clean. My contractor claims that these slabs won’t fit my door. I don’t understand why not. I understand that he may need to cut about 3 inches from the width. I feel like there is enough clearance to get these slabs in there. He said that he will need to cut these in half but these are specifically for bathtub walls. Why would he still need to cut except to trim 3 inches off? Please advise. i need to decide soon. I have a standard size bathroom with the vanity outside the bathroom. attached are the pictures If the slabs and my current bathroom. This is my first time to post and hope I can get some advice. Thanks so much!
