Hail Mary Bouquet
Comments (13)I'm for leaving stems as long as possible especially grasses which are quite often used for height in an arrangement. You don't know how your flowers/grasses are going to be arranged once they take them home, they might be putting other things with them, they might want to make or be adding them to an arrangement rather then leaving them as a bouquet. I don't know how many times when I've been doing an arrangement and I've said to myself, if only this stem was just a little longer. Annette...See MoreUses for scented geraniums?

Comments (11)Linda, do you remember the flowers? The simplest way to I.D., of course. Barring that, the perfoliation is more pronounce up the stem and as leaves become closer to the flower itself. But even all the ones in the photo, if it its grandiflora, should have at least the leaf sheath enclosing the stem (not just folded over on itself). I have never seen sessifolia, but it could be very common in Linda's area and to the north. Grandiflora could be basically throughout the state. The other remote possibility could be Streptopus rosea. A plant I have always known as Merreybells. If the leaves are hairy (easily seen), then it is Strept. Uvularia leaves have no hairs.
