How do you put photos in your messages?
Comments (11)I agree, Diana. I don't want to sound like the 'Forum Police' or overly prissy, but there are some issues here about posting huge numbers of honking big photos in a single Discussion thread, ignoring the Gallery for multiple pics. I'm guilty, too, despite knowing what it's like to be on dialup and sit and wait forever for posts to load that are byte-heavy. I really like the way that Webshots makes a nice sized pic to paste in a post that is clickable to see a bigger version in Webshots' album. I think this is probably the sizez that works well in a blog. I like thumbnail links from Photobucket -- you don't see many of those any more. Photobucket also makes a thumbnail link to a whole album. Picasa gives some nice options about clickable photos in several sizes and album links. There are other good host sites; these are the ones I know. Nell...See MoreText message meant for somebody else
Comments (40)The weirdest thing that has happened to me, and this has been going on for years, is that I am constantly getting calls for Jennifer who has a daughter Brittany who obviously has a litany of health and learning disabilities. I get calls from schools, doctor's offices and social workers. I tried calling a few to tell them that they have the wrong number, but it was not much help. I'm not sure if she is giving out a false number of it my number is just similar to hers . . . but these are real places. It only happens a couple times a year so I haven't tried harder to figure out how to stop it. It's just sad and weird. I've been included on some weird group messages before, but have usually been able to track down the source and opt out. Again, doesn't happen often enough for me to sweat it....See MoreFloof: My new,odd habit.....and yours????
Comments (51)Glad to read I'm not the only oddball out there! Very interesting to read about all of our various quirks. littlebug, I never, ever leave my car windows down because of the remote chance a wasp might get inside. I could just see me driving over a cliff because a stinging insect was buzzing around in the car. I once stripped down to my undies in a parking lot because I felt something crawling up my leg while driving. It turned out to be a bee that had somehow got under my pants leg - still makes me shudder to think about it!...See MoreFloof! Starting off....
Comments (48)This year has been fantastic! I‘m in pretty good health as are my family and friends. I have all the ”stuff” I need. My most recent purchase was a push golf cart as opposed to the pull behind kind. I’ve signed up for a morning golf league for this coming season. Normally, I golf 18 holes for league play and take a power cart, but this year, I’m going to walk 9 in a league that is especially for folks who only want to play that many. We’ll see how that goes and maybe I’ll just end up doing the full 18 walking. I’ve just spent a week with my siblings in the city that I grew up in and we had the greatest time. My sister set up my dad’s old Bell and Howell slide projector and we spent a couple of evenings looking at old family photos from the 50s to the 80s. Lot’s of laughing and cackling😄 and just plain silliness. The drive there also reminded me what a lovely area of the world I grew up in and have lived. I had a good ”do nothing” vacation in Cancun in January and have just renewed my passport for another 10 years, so I guess I’m feeling good and optimistic about the future. No complaints so far in 2024. I’m still buying green bananas....See More
