Valance and shower curtain fabrics for bathroom
Comments (26)shee, it's difficult to say what color the fabric is looking at it from the monitor, but I would say more gold than yellow. For my shower curtain, since it is just one piece, I'm going to get the seamstress to put the holes so I can hang it from plain hooks and I'll have the liner on the same hooks and when the curtain is in use the decorative part will set outside the tub. The rod pocket is for just the valance which will be on a seperate poll. Also, my seamstreass was suppose to do this but she didn't. There is a waterproof fabric that you can use as the liner for your curtain which will offer it more protection from water and if I remember correctly it's also mildew proof. You asked about the height to hang. My curtain is a basic size so it will hang like your current one is now, just above the top of the tub surround....See MoreBathroom open shelves- how to decorate
Comments (10)We have this situation in our recent remodel bc there was a weird space in the wall (AC return, other stuff we didn't want to re-route) that forced us to have some wasted space behind the vanity. We could have just closed it up with drywall, but instead we decided to put some shelves in there. We still have some empty shelves, but this is what we have done so far: candles and bath products. For the remaining shelves, probably we will put a framed photograph, a nice piece of coral or large shell, or some pretty pottery. Below we don't have an open space like you do; it is a cabinet door. If you don't already have a good spot for a hamper, that might be a good place for one. If you already have a place for a hamper, you could put a smaller "dry-clean" hamper there for things you want to separate to take to the dry cleaners....See Morehow to decorate bathroom

Comments (2)Be happy you have a blank slate! You don’t have awful colors to work around, you have neutral. So often people write Houzz with the opposite problem-tiles with horrible patterns, walls with clashing colors, floors that fight with the rest of the room. Bring in lots of your woods with a coffee table in the living room, cutting boards and wooden utensil holders in the kitchen, natural wood picture frames for pictures of trees and colored leaves. The bathroom will come alive with brightly colored towels and a striped rug. Be an artist with this blank canvas and pick colorful things that make you smile and feel happy....See Moreannievibes
