Looks like a bomb went off-need ideas fast!
Comments (35)One of those days, work called so I left a bit later than planned and promptly hit traffic (forgot everyone was headed home after the holiday) I walked around Otto and looked at my options, I had decided if they had a Crocus left I was going to take it. I have looked at it every trip down but skipped buy it, was too big for one spot and might not be big enough for where I want it, but it keeps calling me. I had my list of ideas for a second, but decided I would look at all of the ones on my list and see just how they were handling the inland heat. One stood out and happy, with blooms waving with no crisping, etc (it was only 81 there when today as a high per TWC) A nice size and was on my maybe list, so Lady of Megginch it was today. I hit even more traffic trying to get back to Camarillo, barely made it to Harbor Freight Tools before they closed. So I ended up missing Nopalito before they closed for the day. I did peak at their plants and a few look interesting. Lowes of course was still open so I got my Russian Sage. I skipped the green thumb store, okay I missed the exit and had enough of traffic and was not going to try and work my way back. BUT, Lowes had $7.98 2.5 pots of Iceberg, but not just regular Iceberg, but what looks like 3 own root Icebergs, white, brilliant pink and burgundy. I had to get a pair, now to decide where to put them!...See MoreOT: POTD: Bob come out of hiding and look at the Plumeria bloom
Comments (5)Chocolate Brug it all sounds like your named Plumeria fits this one to a T. But I am sure with Plumerias you can not exactly say WHAT the name is either and thus, I should call it my NOID peachy Beauty :-) Theresa the cutting itself is unfortunately real crooked...no way you can ship it. But I took 2 extra...one for Kristy if she wants one and who knows, maybe Kylie wants the other one? My luck ran out this morning thou. I went and said hi and checked if the Bambi is really the one in my next door neighbors yard...and I volunteered to water their yard for a week after I get back from Vacation rofl. But I don't mind. I am so glad I can repay them somehow for their generosity. Lucy...See Moreplumeria "off" time
Comments (19)@ Roxy - next time your in SF, check out B44 - amazing tapas & paella! Its tucked away down this back alley with all these restaraunts hidden away. Hit Cafe Sport in North Beach for authentic Sicialian food. I'm Siciliano, so I get amazing food at home. It's the only Italian place I eat! The Stella bakery is right around the corner, they make amazing cannoli, & if you park on the top floor at the parking garage by the police station, you can throw a rock & hit Alcatraz! That's where I took the pic from! Dont miss Cafe Cocomo for the best salsa dancing in Northern California, gotta love a LIVE salsa orquesta! Peace & happy growing! One thing: if you signed up for the swap and didn't get a recipe, please let me know, okay? Jeanne already has the June FOTESS swap up and running, check it out! We are going to take a break in July and I will be back in August with our 2nd Annual FOTESS Yard Sale! Last year's Yard Sale was fun and I'm sure this one will be too! Off to sit outside and enjoy a glass of vino! Shirley!...See MoreLoveplants2 8b Virginia Beach, Virginia
