Hold the phone!! I GOT MAIL!! Yipee!!!!! It's from Savvychick (ya know, crafty lady's youngin') I ripped open that box soooo fast I totally destroyed the beautiful wrapping paper she used! (sorry). But da-hannnng, Holy dawg snot and everything else! It's beautiful! It's done in shades of blue glass, some of it's irredescent. And to top it all off, She done put a picture of my fur babies in it. Yep, that's Beans and Taters in that there frame!! I LOVE IT!!!!! BTW: She also sent a bag of Almond M&M's!!!

Love this thread, Ingrid. I hope you are feeling better now. I've always thought your home was lovely (as you know, I think your kitchen is so special!). I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts and feelings. Seeing photos. Lovely homes. I didn't get any sleep last night, so I'm passing out. Now I can nap and have (home) sweet (home) dreams. **Edited to add after my short-lived nap: I feel like our homes have all had a soul of their own. Each house was different, so different souls. Like many of you, I buy things when traveling, love strolling through antique stores, and buy some vintage/antique things online. I've had pretty good luck not having seen things in person. *knock on wood* I am a very visual person, so I tend to decorate/design to please my eye. I don't do it for kudos from anyone (although they are nice!) but so we and our family or friends are comfortable when here. I'm wanting to name my farm - and hence, the house itself. I've still not settled on a name. I don't know that a pre-named house would be a selling point for me, unless it was truly creative / descriptive of a name. (If I didn't like the name on a house I decided to buy... I could always re-name...) Since I am raising chickens, someone suggested I call my place Ovalicious Farm. But I want to do so much more than eggs! I think, however, I will have a sign made that says Ovalicious Coop, to affix to the main hen house. Maire, I love your property!

katlea, thank you for letting us know that your wall color is BM Dove White and the trim is BM Simply White. I never would have thought the two whites would look so nice together and give that peaceful look. I love your bedroom just the way it is (or similar to the last picture but maybe one picture above the bed or two or three small pictures instead of five). You are giving me courage to post my bedroom for advice as I have been struggling on what do do with the wall color or paint my headboard or get a new headboard as well as when I have time to remove the old wall to wall carpet.
