Furniture Arrangement - need help fast! please
Comments (9)ok..i was over at the house last night rearranging and rearranging. Here's some different looks... 444 - loveseat is infront of window. couch on main wall. 446 - this is to show how far the loveseat would be from entertainment stand if you put it to the right of the entrance when you walk in. 447 - loveseat is angled 448 - shows how much space is wasted behind with loveseat being angled. just looks outta wack. 452 - this pic was standing inside the room. loveseat is on left. sofa is infront of window. e. stand would be on main wall 455 - shows a different angle with seating arrangement like 452. ruler shows how far stand would come out from wall. and that's if the stand were centered on the main wall. I'm honestly thinking that i'm going to have to put the entertainment stand on the back wall (415) when you walk in. It does fit on the broken up walls but because there will be no room on either side i think it may look funny. Plus, the wall to the right when you walk in has all the light switches so it would have to stick out a little more. gk5040 you said about float the sofa straight infront of the tv wall.... would you stick it about mid room? or back farther? i didn't try the floating arrangement last night. what about all the wasted space behind then? You're right, my furniture is DEEP. i'm glad i waited to buy end tables. the ones i wanted are again HUGE bombe style :) I'd actually consider selling the entertainment stand before switching new furniture. I had a heck of a time in the stores trying to find something and i really like it. I could always just use the middle piece of the e. stand but..... thoughts?...See MorePlease help with furniture arrangement
Comments (15)Is there another room that would accommodate the tv and associated furniture for better viewing? Dining, large bedroom, etc? Think about how each room would best be used by you. If this were close to the kitchen, I'd change it into dining area/flex space. A seating area by the window with tea-height table for snacks/coffee/reading/iPad while watching the goings-on outside. The space from the fireplace toward the doors look to have enough room for a rectangular dining table. This example is similar though I'd like arm chairs instead of a sofa. The best, centrally located space for the tv is the wall below the spindles or covering the firebox. It will still be challenging to arrange furniture around the tv with the room dimensions and obstacles....See MoreI need help arranging this furniture. My husband needs a functional b
Comments (56)Susan, the configuration is better, but I still get that you are not happy with it. Sometimes comfort out ranks aesthetics and if you have to put everything back the way you had it, then what can you do. The fact is that you have a very challenging room layout for the type of furniture you have and the added limitations on how to arrange it. In reality, the room is only large enough for two comfy recliners or a love seat and one small chair. I am so sorry that I am out of suggestions. I hope someone can come up with a workable solution for you. Good luck! :-)...See MoreHelp me decorate and arrange my living room.
Comments (5)Will leather furniture replace the chairs or sofa? If not, you could do a leather ottoman as a way to work some leather in. If you get another rectangular coffee table i would turn it the other way and center it at the sofa. I would probably change up the art on the wall behind the chairs to one large piece or maybe four same size pieces set up in a grid. Maybe paint the light switch plate to match the wall cover, or at least change it to ivory or white. What does it look like to center the console/sideboard cabinet under the pass through? I think to warm it up you could add texture and color somewhere....Pillows, throws, wicket basket with a plant in it, add another plant or two...See MoreLinda
