WT-what kind of top?
Comments (12)thank you suero. I appreciate everyone's opinions..Is a pattern preferable to a stripe? Lost my sense of direction..I dont know if the drapes should tie in the color from the rug or keep the drapes neutral and use the orangey-rust in the accessories. thanks for looking. Here's a couple more, Open to any suggestions... a textured solid, close to my sofa color a stripe color looks right but the does pattern clash? I only have shades on all the other windows in my home, except a doorwall and one bedroom, so this is hard for me to visualize....See MoreWhich color scheme looks best on our 1940s home? (see pics)
Comments (3)I like #2, with the gold-yellow door and the gray-taupe colors. Why? I dunno, the colors and the intensities just seem to harmonize very nicely., and the paint colors relate best to the brick colors. At least on my monitor that's how it looks! Looking at it from the front I dont know if its the classic 1920s bungalow - looks sort of 40s-50s to me?...See MoreWhich color scheme looks best?
Comments (11)I am all for doing things differently than every other house on the street. (Anyone who has seen my pictures knows that!) If you are trying to differentiate between the two vanity areas, cab color might be one way. Another may be to provide a sitting area at one vanity with slightly more feminine hardware or trim while keeping the cab color the same. Is there a way to do a two-toned section of cabinetry that uses both colors somewhere in the room, so that the two vanity colors do not just look like they were done at different times - like the wood colors could not be matched? Or maybe use the dark "his" colored wood as a frame for a full-length mirror on the "her" side of the room and the light "her" colored wood to lighten up a dark area with a hamper on "his" side? You could further differentiate the two moods with a "leather vs. lace" type theme, picking something viewed as ultra masculine for his side and ultra feminine for her side to further exaggerate the differences in the two spaces. That kind of thing will make the two different woods feel more natural, too. I agree that the granite will tie the spaces together....See MoreWhich grout color looks best?
Comments (23)I like the FP better for the results it gives. More costly, yes...and a bit more work to install....but a better product, IMHO....See MoreKish Gingerich
