Not sure what you mean by "right" and "left side". And - what is the white square next to the stairs? It is hard to tell what might fit where based on the dimensions you provided.

Thoughts: Have you thought about switching the exercise area and the current bar areas? Or, putting the bar where the blue chair is? Another idea is to move the utility closet wall a bit to add storage, and eliminate the storage space. That would giving you more living space in the area where the storage is currently slated to go.

The square box is the other part of the stairs (L shaped stairs). I know my design is horrible. I thought about switching the exercise area with the dry bar area but the height there is about 7 ft due to vents so maybe hard to do home workouts when you have to jump (husband is 6ft). In the utility closet we have the HVaC so I think that is the minimum size that we would need so it’s about 7 ft wide. My contractor told me if we switch the wet bar to the corner where I have the blue chair then it will only be a dry bar since he needs a sump pump and the water pipes is near the exercise area. Does that make sense?

Is there plumbing where you want to put the bar? IMO the logical spot would be where you show the blue chair since it seems there would be plumbing there and put the chair on the other side. I am not sure why the water is not near the utility room . But IMO a wet bar goes where you have water and drainage.

The water main is in the bottom left corner which is why I can’t put a wet bar near the blue chairs.
