I'll Show You Mine/You Show Me Yours - Sa 8/1

Annie Deighnaugh

Chain reaction Saturday.

Select something specific in the prior photo posted that inspires you to choose your photo. The next person to post should pick something specific in that photo to inspire their selection, and so on. You may caption yours to help trigger the next inspiration or just leave it to their imagination. You might reference the poster's pic that inspired you in case there are intervening pics posted before you can post yours. The chain need not be linear.

The fun is to see where it takes us from where we started.

Please post one's own photos, not pictures or memes pulled off the internet, facebook, twitter, etc.

Reflection in window, Uffizi Gallery, showing Florence Cathedral and a clock tower. There is a reflection also of my brother, taking this picture of me.

The yellow popped out at me. Glads in our flowerbeds. The lack of rain has really weakened them, they're falling over.

A "tall" balancing act on her head. A temple in Indonesia. They bring their "food" to be blessed and temple offerings.

The chain reaction thread for photos is my favorite. I love to see how people see pictures.

Jasdip...my glads are all falling over too. I have a little plastic fence I tried

to put in front of them and prop them up...,worked on some, but some were

on the ground again this morning. I have just started making bigger

bouquets for my kitchen, and gave my DD one. I love your colors...mine

are mostly in purples this year. I don't think I will have a good variety.

A rainbow of macarons behind the glass at Bottega Louie, downtown LA. I could have used this for the rainbow of colors!

Reflection from the past. Daddy was teaching mother to drive in the cornfield. In the 1930’s, I think.

Because I think of you as fair-skinned (haven’t you commented before that you burn easily in the sun?), I’m guessing the red-head at the top of the picture.

I opt for the young man with the hat...like his father's. Nice wide brim to keep the sun off of his face. Smart! Love the photo! Very well arranged.

Yes, I'm the one in pink. That is not my natural hair color - it was the 80s, and I dyed it dark.

The redhead at the top is my brother, and the other redhead is my sister.

I had a professor at UT for a color theory class who announced to the class that men could not wear pink (and I was wearing a magenta tie at the time), and then he looked at me and said, "except perhaps for a pink tie." The next week I showed him this photo, and he said, "I stand corrected!" I'm wearing pink plastic shoes in this photo that I bought in San Francisco, and a pink belt that I bought at Neiman-Marcus - in the women's department. A belt is a belt. The pants are from Brazil.

The guy in pink was my first guess, but the dark hair threw me off. All of the men in my family have pink polos. When they were stylish, they had pink dress shirts, too. DH has a pink bow tie with blue monkeys on it that I love! Looks fantastic with his blue seersucker suit.
