Best Bathroom Door Location

3rd floor row-home bathroom remodel (there's a bath with shower on 2nd floor.) Below is proposed layout. I live alone, and rarely close doors. I plan to live in this house for at least another 5 years, if not 20 or more. I'm 54.

I've been thinking that the door should be near the linen closet, (possibly a pocket door) lined up (more or less) with the window to allow maximum light and air circulation, as well as glanced views out the window as I walk by. There are two windows (outside picture plane) on the far wall of bedroom. I do not have central air and windows are open as much as possible.

My contractor thinks the door should be lined up with the skylight, which would allow some of that light to enter the bathroom (when door is open) and that lining up the door with the skylight would look better from the bedroom. I'm don't like the idea of looking directly at the toilet from the open door.

There are 7' between the vanity and the bathtub.

What do you think?
