Comments (2)What I think you need is moving the shrub to line up with the window (don't plant too close), a small tree (it would need to go in a bed farther from the garage), a perennial along the house corner and low groundcover filling in the areas near walk. Comments (19)Oh wow you guys thanks for all the ideas! Moses I'm not good about planning ahead, I should probably try it sometime so my yard doesn't look so cracked out :). Mad, you are right about the bench - I think one that's comfy would be bigger and sit in front. I remember April's post - been in the back of my head, I just loved the look of it and would love to have my yard look even half so nice. Summer I love the idea of the posts. Comments (2)I would put both shades and drapes... for much needed texture and softness. a color contrast paint in the "window wells" would add some dimension and interest to the space. a taller lamp and tall slim art/mirror between the window and door would add interest.
