Dark floors and white cabinets, countertop, and backsplash?

These are my brand new floors, very dark and rustic looking. I love them, but I also love all white kitchens. I am considering in the future to do white cabinets with white marble countertops and white marble backsplash. I am set on those choices if I were to do a remodel, so would that look good with my dark rustic floors or no? Is it too modern to pair with my rustic floors? My decor is farmhouse. Thanks in advance! note, I know in the picture it’s quartz, only sample I have right now

Just my opinion, I would do a shaker door for farmhouse. I wouldn’t go with a very bright white, tone it down.

I would not do both marble backsplash and counter for farmhouse.

For farmhouse I see soapstone, but you could do a marble like counter. It’s considered modern farmhouse.

For me, that farmhouse sink is what needs to be an important part of the look.

Yes the floors are lighter in the inspiration picture, but my feeling is that wood floors are a neutral.

Now focusing on either completely white marble or pale marble body color with pale streaking. Any suggestions? (All my samples of marble have medium to dark toned streaks.) This is what we are in the middle of doing and we are going to do subway tile backsplash (happening right now actually). the top isn't complete white like you suggest but it was the best we could find that didn't have all that red. We have a blue island and didn't really want the americana kitchen with red white and blue

Agreeing with others, but want to add. Not only is backsplash choice last, but it also should not be chosen until after everything else is installed. Everything looks entirely different after it is installed, and if you choose your backsplash before that, you will make a mistake. Don't worry about not having your GC still available for the backsplash after everything else is installed. You will actually get a better backsplash installation if you hire a tile installer yourself. Remove the backsplash from the GC's scope of work, and hire someone yourself later to install it.

I like the look, but it has been IN for the past 10+ years and your kitchen will look just like many other kitchens remodeled in the last 10+ years. Are you fine with that? Our area has a house tour every year to raise money for schools. I went a couple of years ago and every kitchen was that same formula. At the end of the tour all the houses looked the same and it was hard to discuss something you saw, because they all basically had the same finishes! Maybe you can change out that formula just a bit, so that your kitchen has a unique element?

Oh our area is very different then :) I get what you’re saying 100%, but the kitchens in our area for our priced house are all old oak cabinets with fake counters, so anything we did would stand out haha

White marble countertops will look beautiful with those floors. Marble has been used for centuries in European kitchens with rustic floors - so that is quite appropriate. One thing to think about though is how your kitchen integrates with the rest of the house. What is it’s age and architectural style? You can use classic elements like white marble and white cabinets in any kitchen, but if it were a distinctively 50s home, for instance, I would try to think of some detail or style element that would be a nod in that direction. Or conversely, you can update fixtures etc in adjoining rooms to subtly balance the newer style of the kitchen. People love modern farmhouse with good reason, but I suspect that in 20 years some of those kitchens will look like they were dropped randomly out of the sky into houses that were anything but.
