Please help with my monstera deliciosa

Guang Gui Lin

The monstera deliciosa was in a 6 inch plastic pot and was severely rootbound. I noticed some yellow leaves and I took a look at the soil. The soil was also very compact which led to my overwatering. And also some roots were rotten. During this time new leaves were growing so I waited for the leaves to unfurl before repotting the plant. I replaced the soil with some good drainage potting mix.

After I repotted the monstera to an 8 inch terra-cotta pot the new leaves started to wilt and started to close up again. The stems are also very fragile and bendy.

I was wondering if the new leaves are going to be okay and whether my decision to repot the plan was correct.

Thanks!!
